Restart it one more time. I just restarted 2 of my clients and they sent the finished WU's they had and got new ones and are crunching away.

171.64.65.62 seems to be up and running again as well. Thank you! Now just the last one so I can send my WUs .

Sorry about that. If you'd like to get this going sooner, could you post more details regarding your client, eg OS, client type (systray or console), and client version?pmasley wrote:I still cannot get an assignment from the server. Actually, this is not #13. I have restarted the program eight times over the past two days. I will restart it on Tuesday and see what happens.
Right now I see assigns going through fine on our end, with a few known exceptions (eg very old clients, etc).

I have three (now) clients currently waiting to upload and get new WUs from server 171.64.65.62. One just finally did upload and get a new WU so maybe it is working again. The four clients were all in the 40+ attempts range since about 23:30 PDT on 29 October (Friday).
Hopefully, all three of my remaining clients will cycle in on their attempts and be successful.

Vijay, I am running Win7, the client version 6.23 with no modifications. I will restart it and see what is does.
EDITED and Added:
OK, it did restart but I think it lost this one; Project: 6511 (Run 2, Clone 99, Gen 65). I do not see where it uploaded the finihsed result. It did download Project: 10058 (Run 448, Clone 0, Gen 24) and is now at 1%. I will check it later and get back with you.

I forgot to watch, just let my clients do their thing. Times like this, if everyone keeps stopping/starting the clients, we end up hammering the servers and make the process take longer.
One of my two classics, the advmethods one, got a WU four hours ago all on its own. The other one, crunching regular WUs, just got one. It probably just waited until all of you stop/start guys finished hammering the servers?

Re: Can't get classic WUs: 171.64.65.62, 171.67.108.33
UPDATE: It looks like this weekend was a bad confluence of several FAH projects going off line for one reason or another (some planned, some unplanned due to server issues). A few PG members pushed to finalize the planned maintenance issues so we now have several classic servers on line. This will help keep the load balanced and so I think the worst is over, assuming nothing else unplanned happens.
There is one unresolved issue, specifically a known issue with vsp05c. We are planning on upgrading that WS from v5 to v6 on Monday and that should resolve that issue too.

Very good news! Thank you for letting us know ^^ . I'm looking forwards to the end result, so my remaining/waiting WUs can be sent.VijayPande wrote:There is one unresolved issue, specifically a known issue with vsp05c. I checked the database for you. Project: 6511 (Run 2, Clone 99, Gen 65) is actually a bad WU, has ended in EUE for several people. Thanks for the report on that. I marked it bad.pmasley wrote: OK, it did restart but I think it lost this one; Project: 6511 (Run 2, Clone 99, Gen 65). I do not see where it uploaded the finihsed result.
Re: Can't get classic WUs: 171.64.65.62, 171.67.108.33
I sucessfully uploaded it about 80 minutes ago with a good accept, so it is not a bad WU. Everything is running as it should now.

Successful upload, yes, but you received incomplete credit and the error message indicates it ended early as an EUE, Early Unit End.
Hi pmasley (team 53449),
Your WU (P6511 R2 C99 G65) was added to the stats database on 2010-10-31 12:10:23 for 66.6 points of credit.
I can't see your logs on this. All I can see is the info in the mod database.
It is considered a bad WU by the mods after at least three individual folders with three individul clients are unable to complete it (to 100 percent) successfully.
