Project: 10304 (Run 2, Clone 12, Gen 41)

Post by John_Weatherman »

I got a Project: 10304 (Run 2, Clone 12, Gen 41) WU to do, but it's not up on the Project Summary page or any announcement about these. It uses the core 79 (SSE2) - is it supposed to be one of the new A4 core WUs?

The only thing I can tell you is that this one was completed successfully by an anonymous folder for 175 points. It took .37 days to complete and return it.

Is it a beta WU? I'm not a beta-tester so it should n't be.(going from the RCG numbers there should be lots of these floating around, or ...) Does anyone have a deadline on this as it got downloaded onto a ACER netbook and the poor Atom CPU is gamefully chugging it's way through the WU.

10304 is pretty old actually. It was released from closed beta testing to -advmethods back in April of this year before the announcement forum for new WUs was created. This is why you never saw an announcement. They use the Double Precision GROMACS code so you are seeing the correct core. I do not know when or if it was removed from -advmethods to gen-pop.

John, please see this article: http://en.fah-addict.net/news/news.php?id=202

The article will have all the points and deadline info you need. Please note that these do not appear on psummary because the work server for these projects is an old version of the v5 server code and does not support psummary.

Thanks for links Tobit! (should have guessed the Addict site would have the info - but did n't think I'd need to go back to April to find the info!) I can let the Atom plod on.

Hello, I am one of the managers of Project 10304. I am sorry for not noticing these posts sooner. Tobit correctly summarized the state of this project and the reasons for it not appearing on the Project Summary pages. Thank you for that. All of our projects are currently running with -advmethods, because their size is too small for release to the general FAH public. Thank you for supporting our work.
