No user Stats

Post by BadNoddy »

I've come back to folding after a couple of years of not doing so :D :D

Since Monday when i restarted folding, i've been unable to find my stats. I've used the links provided in the MyFolding.html page and yet for donor stats I get only the F@H bar across the top of the page and on my teams page, i don't show at all!

Team number: 162130
Donor name: (eTeknix)BadNoddy

Is there something that i'm missing here? I can still find my old stats from a couple of years back and nothing from now :(

Cheers.

Alright then how about the team i fold for? I still don't appear under that :(

Also that set of stats show that i've only had one client running? I've got 2 clients currently running across 3 cores and in total i've completed and uploaded at least 5 WU's?

Try checking again in an hour.

The stats are normally updated every hour and I have seem times when my individual stats and my stats on the team list are out of sync but back to normal after the next update.

btw as to 'magically' showing up ... You have to actually upload a completed WU before it shows up in your counts. So, if you've only uploaded 1 WU then your stats will show one client. Once the other client uploads it's WU your client count will change to two if the clients have been configured properly. i.e. if the two clients are on the same computer then they must have a different MachineID.

See my edit above re MachineID.

If you have the same MachineID value(located in the advanced section of the config) on both clients you can and probably will get duplicate WUs and credit is only given for one.

Also, you can check the FAHlog.txt file for both clients to ensure that the WUs are different and that they are using the same Team #.

yeah,
Client 1 = Machine ID 1 with -smp
Client 2 = Machine ID 2
Client 3 = Machine ID 3 with -smp (just started this one)

I'll give it a few hours to see what happens.

Can you tell us a bit more about the computer(s) you're using? i.e. how many cores etc.

The reason I ask is that running two -smp clients on the same computer is a bit unusual unless you have a large number of cores and even then running one is usually better for the project.

Unit 1 is using a Core 2 Duo @ 2.4Ghz (2 Cores) on Win 7 Ult N - one client running with -smp
Unit 2 is using a Centino @ 1.8Ghz (1 Core) On Win XP Pro - one client running
Unit 3 is using a Core 2 Duo @ 1.83Ghz (2 Cores) on Win 7 Ult- one client running with -smp

All Machines are running the console version of F@H

Okay, since they are 3 seperate computers then everything above about MachineID is no longer valid. You can use the same MachineID on different computers. No need to change them now that they're already processing.

p.s. You are now listed on the team page but still with only 1 client. Check the FAHlog.txt files on your 3 clients(probably just the 2 as you've just started the 3rd) to make sure you've actually completed and successfully uploaded the results for more than one WU.

You should see a message like:

Code: Select all

[02:29:39] + Results successfully sent
[02:29:39] Thank you for your contribution to Folding@Home.
[02:29:39] + Number of Units Completed: ##

ok fair enough, i must have misread the FAQ's about machine ID.

Unit 1 has successfully uploaded 3 WU's last being this morning at 07:20 (one work unit failed)
Unit 2 has successfully uploaded 2 WU's last being this morning at 03:10
Unit 3 only just started so no data yet.

also separate to this issue, i've noticed that on all the consoles running, the time stamp against the progress is -1hour to the actual time?

Would setting the "Ignore any deadline information" option to yes in the advanced settings rectify this? I mentions to only select yes to if the local system clock is having issues keeping the correct date/time. The system clocks are all correct; just the F@H console time that is wrong.

the clock time is GMT/UTC time, not local time - - no need to set ignore time information
