I was just assigned the above mentioned WU. So far, it hasn't crashed my system and the RAM Usage is 100% normal when compared to my other bigadv WUs. I am running with -smp 7 on Windows 7 64 bit with 4 GB RAM.

My question is that should I dump the WU because it is already announced that P 2682 has been replaced with P 2982 or should I continue to fold?
Thanks for any official response.

The WU has been running for ~6 hours and so far, there aren't any problems. RAM usage is 2.72 GB. This is what HFM.NET reports:

Kasson's posts suggest that PG hasn't replaced
all 2682 WUs, at least not yet. Check
malloc error thread and the
updates thread .

Well, it seems that the wordings on FAH-Addict gave an incorrect impression:
...the re-released project 2682, it has been retired ...
Source
Since the TPF of P2682 is lower than P2684, I don't mind folding it, however, I do hope that I get the credits for this one as they have fixed the Server issue.
I wonder if there could be an update on the P2692 WUs.

I can't answer your basic question, but if the project has not been disabled, we have to presume the work is still useful so if it's working on your hardware, you should complete the assignment. Dumping work should always be a last-resort.

Thanks bruce, I am happy to fold this WU as its TPF is better than P2684. So far, I have finished 20% and everything is perfect. If everything goes fine, I should finish folding this WU within 2 days.

The work is definitely still useful. As we announced previously (viewtopic.php?f=55&t=15563&p=154823#p154823), we've downweighted 2682 in favor of 2692, but we still have some 2682's around. If they prove problematic enough that people would rather have no bigadv at all than 2682, then we can turn them off.

Thanks for your prompt response Dr. Kasson. So far, I have finished 30% of the WU and haven't encountered any problems.

			Sure did.
I had made a note earlier and was just coming back in here to check again.
