FahCore_82.exe causing Visual Fortram Run-Time Error

Post by droe »

I have been running Folding@Home for a number of years without incident. Within the past two months, I've run into subject error twice when the computer looks to download the FahCore_82.exe on my computer. I've uninstalled F@H and reinstalled...and run into the same problem. Am looking for a way to prevent the FahCore_82.exe from downloading to my computer since it appears to me that is what's causing failure of F@H to run....or fix for the problem.

I'm Running Windows XP and F@H 6.23 with viewer. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for pointing that out (regarding postings at other location)...but as I looked at the inputs there I'm not seeing any solutions to the problem. Do you have a solution? Does anyone know if anyone is working on a solution. Sad to not be able to run the program because a faulty WU causes the error. If there are known WUs that cause problems, I would hope they're being addressed by moderators and programmers. I did learn that there area multiple locations on the computer that hold F@H information that need to be removed in addition to using add/remove in the control panel.

Delete your /work folder and queue.dat file to get rid of the WU ... it should get a new working one.
