171.67.108.22 stuck at 'connecting to' uploading finished WU

Post by coccola »

It's weird because it doesn't say anything: no 'can't connect' or anything else. Now it's July 3, 2010 21:10 UTC. Firewall checked, it has nothing to do with this issue.

I found other people who said it took much longer than usual to send (example: http://www.overclockers.com/forums/show ... p?t=641016 ).

Now running console mpich client on native Windows 7 64 bit. Using Core i7 920 at 3990 MHz.

I just remembered (I think) I forgot to update the client with the drop-in binary. Does it have something to do with it? If it does, is my WU lost? I've already lost 3 2684 work units when I was running a Linux image with vmware...

Thanks for your reply!

It's not uploading anything. My firewall (Zonealarm) doesn't show any traffic on systray.

What happens if you exit the Client and restart using -send all flag? technically, it should try to upload the results and then exit

I tried what you said and ZoneAlarm didn't show any traffic on systray but I realized the network LED on the back of my computer was flashing. I just waited and voila, the WU was transferred. You were right, I only had to wait. I think this strange behavior is because I updated ZoneAlarm recently.

Sorry for taking so long to answer, I had to leave and could only get back home now.

Thank you!

Glad that it worked fine. To monitor my DSL Line, I am using NetMeter, maybe it can be of some help to you.
