I don't get credit for some WU's
Hi, I'm pretty new to folding, but since the 2nd of June I'm getting some errors considering the credit I get for my completed WU's.
On the 2nd of June the problem started when I checked the extremeoverclocking statistics, I completed 6 WU's in the update between 6pm and 9am (I don't remember exactly which update it was) but I gained 0 points for them. Now on the 5th of June the same problem showed up again, but now between 3am and 6am. (All times are CDT)
I was wondering how this problem exists and if I could still get points for the combined 8 WU's.
Thanks in advance.
PS: I'm only folding on the GPU client and sometimes CPU console since I don't have a passkey for the SMP client.

Logs would help ID your specific problem. If you supply a list of P(R,C,G) then a moderator can look up the individual WU's and see who got credit.

Re: I don't get credit for some WU's
You can get the all the required information for passkey from here. The only reason that it is recommended to use the passkey with SMP2 Client is that you can take advantage of the bonus point system. Not using the passkey means that you can still get the WUs but the credits will only be base points which are low. eg, without passkey, my WU credit is 476 but with passkey, it becomes 3335 (it will vary depending on the CPU speed and other factors) hence it is highly recommended. Also you will first need to qualify for the bonus before you get them, more info hereTheBlademaster01 wrote:... I don't have a passkey for the SMP client.
This reminds me when I once had returned a WU for 0 Credits and it was a in the beginning of the year and I completely forgot about it until I read your post.

Each client will have its own FAHLOG.txt file. Right click on Systray clients and choose status and then log file. You can then copy and paste it into a post. Console client have the FAHLog.txt file in the folder you put it in.

Also if you want to obtain further history of the F@H Client, you can open this file: FAHlog-Prev it is found in the same location as FAHlog but you can access it only from the folder and not through the Systray Client methods described by P5-133XL. Also when you paste the FAHLog, make sure you use the Code Button so you FAHLog appears like this:
Code: Select all
FAHLog appears here

Simply post the PRCG here and the Admin/Mod will check it up and report it here. If they want more information, they can either PM you or ask it in this thread. Make sure that when you post the FAHLog, you remove the User ID for security reasons so that the log appears like this:

Also I haven't really heard of anyone getting a WU re-credited and the only instance when the donors were given credits were those that were folding BigAdv and the fault was on Stanford's side.

The Mods do a good job of finding them, and I'm sure they don't need PMs from everybody. Don't PM a Mod (well, unless they miss it for a day or two. The objective here is to figure out WHY you didn't get credit so that you will know if there is something you need to fix or if it's a problem beyond your control.
Re: I don't get credit for some WU's
Welcome to the foldingforum, TheBlademaster01
I'm not sure why you believe you're not getting credit. Perhaps you're not waiting long enough to see the credits added to the database. (Times are by Stanford's local clock, so 5.5 and 6.5 hrs ago for the official stats and somewhat later if you're using a 3rd party stats engine.)

Re: I don't get credit for some WU's
Thanks for your time bruce.
I want to show you why I think my I didn't get any points, but I'm not yet allowed to send a link of my stats here.
The statisticks show that I completed 2 WU's but it shows that I gained 0 points. On June 2nd it showed the same thing, but with 6 WU's.

Re: I don't get credit for some WU's
I looked at the EOC stats and don't see what you are seeing. On June 2nd, I see 26 WU's done for 8075 points.
If you are getting completed WU's with no points on a regular basis, then you need to check those logs for EUE's or NAN's or other errors that are causing the WU's to fail early. While failure events like this can occur spontaneously, they should only happen very occasionally. It is time to check the stability of your hardware.

Re: I don't get credit for some WU's
http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/mai ... demaster01
The official stats show that you've completed 170 WUs for a total score of 62429 points. It does not identify which WUs might have gotten 0 points, nor does it identify which WUs were credited at a specific time. EOC figures that out by comparing your official totals after designated updates at the Stanford site. I have no ability to tell anything about a specific time period unless you can provide me the PRCG numbers.
If you look for both FAHlog.txt and FAHlog-Prev.txt you may be able to find the PRCG numbers for the previous WUs. If that doesn't help, you can download and run the 3rd party tool "qd" which will give specific information about the last 10 entries in your queue.

@P5-133XL
You can still see what I mean at the update of 6am today
@bruce
I checked the logs and it was my 9800GTX+ which was failing 6 times June 2nd. I pinned the fan speed @ 56% during the night so I could get a good rest, my card probably was unstable since I saw 6 error notes in the FAH-Prev log
Today, it was a different story though
Thanks for the help everyone, I really appreciate it

This is from the EOC stats:

If you didn't have any problems today with any of the F@H CPU Clients that you are running then what could be the reason.
FYI when I encountered this problem earlier this year, EOC and Standford Stats listed 1 WU with 0 credits. I simply assumed that it was an EUE and that I had finished very little of it to even get partial credit. Since then, I never had any problems.
