No, you are certainly not off-base, although sometimes it takes up to 10 minutes before the assignment server redirects you around a problem if there is one.

Are you able to open http://130.237.232.140:8080/ in your browser? (It does work from here.)

Sometimes restarting the client can encourage it to search for a different server. Often there's nothing you can do except to be patient.

I've alerted the appropriate folks, though that doesn't necessarily mean something will happen quickly.

Thanks. I've tried a handful of client and PC restarts. I even tried changing up the flags to see if I could trigger being assigned to a new server, but nothing seems to have worked.

I have another machine running the same setup, and it just pulled work from the same server.

The first machine is a Q6600, set to smp -4, advmethods. It's the one that's getting work just fine.

The one that is struggling is an AMD Thuban set to smp -6, also with advmethods.

Is the AMD CPU being discriminated against?

I got rid of the SMP 6 flag, and advmethods flag. Now the error is different.

I don't know of any kind of AMD discrimination, though the conspiracy theory folks sometimes claim that there is one, whether it's true or not.

Without the -advmethods flag you probably won't get any assignments, which is what the new error message is telling you.

Actually, I don't know if this is helpful or hurtful, but it appears I may have resolved the issue on my end.

First I uninstalled then reinstalled. No luck.

I uninstalled again, but this time reinstalled to a new folder on my hard drive. Now it works.

So, it appears something may have been fouled up on my end. Sorry if I've caused trouble, but thanks for the assistance.

Yesterday morning I started getting errors. I have re-installed the client and updated all related drivers. I have GPU2 running on the same rig with no issues. It's gotta be the server rejecting me for some reason.
