Few Questions

Post by PantherX »

1) I was going through my Control Panel and discovered that I can change my Username. The problem is that I originally wanted to have PantherX and due to a typo mistake (used @hotmail.com instead of @live.com) that Username is "taken" hence I settled for a hyphen. My question is that is it possible for the mods/admin to "free" the Username so that I can use it :?:

2) I am interested in joining the beta team and have read the post but I have a question. When I go for vacations (more than a month) my system is left at home with my family monitoring the system (just basic stuff like restarting, etc) they don't have enough experience to troubleshoot F@H Clients. Is it possible to "suspend" my membership during that time or not? Also when I am on vacations, can I run the beta work on my laptop (its with me all all times) or is it only for the desktop systems?

Thanks

1) I don't know ... I'll let an admin answer ...

2) The beta team tests a wide variety of things ... so you can be involved with as many machines (and as many types of machines, from laptop to multiCPU systems, including GPUs) as you want. You also have the choice to receive beta work or not ... so it's as simple as changing your settings to not receive beta work when you know that you won't be able to monitor your machines.
