I attempted to game on one of my comps, Phenom I @2.8 but after a few secs of gaming it would crash(oc fail) but i was running 24/7 stable fah and prime 95 without errors
Note: I was running TF2 with fah off.
So is this due to FAH using different parts of the processor or what any1 know?
Edit: Using the smp

Re: OC games/vs FAh
I have no idea what clients you were running. Was it the uniprocessor, smp, GPU2 so that makes it hard to determine what folding is stressing and by how much.
The obvious first test is to turn off all OC'ing and try that which crashed your machine with it on and see if OC'ing is a factor.
Gaming typically stresses the video card more than folding does. Prime95 does not stress the CPU nearly as well as folding does.

Re: OC games/vs FAh
Not sure if it's remotely applicable to ATI cards, but I OC my GTX260's shaders to 1582 MHz from 1242, and though this is stable for F@h, any games I've ever tried to run at those settings have failed. I agree with P5's suggestion of setting things to stock settings and seeing if your games work then.

Re: OC games/vs FAh
Ive gotten it to work at a lower oc but its weird that i was able to fold for about 2 weeks then game and it would crash almost instantly but it was just the CPU overclock not the gpu so ya.
