Quick comment about the FAH/life with Playstation
I like the program, its an easy way to see a sort of lite version of the news around the world in a clever design thats pleasing to the eye. I think its true purpose with the protein simulator n all that is nice and useful to research. And though at times it can sometimes make me wish I just had google Earth on ps3 instead, I find it to be a nifty little addition to the PS3 console. My quick little comment I am making as I am sitting here with the Icon sitting on my TV screen is... whats up with the background picture? its an old CRT television sitting in a house by a window with a mirror. and... besides it being a relatively decent photograph, I COMPLETELY fail to see the relevance of it to the program. It wouldn't be too hard to include a more interesting picture perhaps of the Earth itself or something just more clever and thought out rather than a photo that looks like was just randomly taken in somebodies room in their house. If you agree or have an explanation, plz reply!

The "background picture" you're describing is associated with the Life with Playstation application, not Folding at Home. Life with Playsation has various "channels" you can pick from, Folding at Home is one of them. ("Channels"...a pic of a television...make the connection?)
Folding at Home is a Life With Playstation channel which runs on the PS3. It's like a Flash game that was developed to run on Flash which runs on your computer. Application -> Framework -> Operating System
I've deleted all of the other channels or they've gone away (I forget which), but 2 years ago there used to be more channels to pick from, not just the Folding at Home channel.
Clear as mud? Basically, that picture has nothing to do with Folding at Home so if you don't like it, you need to tell the PS3 developers in Japan, not the Folding at Home developers.
BTW: news and weather were (are?) the two other channels.
