For future consideration, if there's a problem with the servers, it's better to not constantly reboot the client. When the client starts up, in initially queries the server(s) pretty frequently for work, but does this less often as it gets more rejections. If the servers are overloaded, then they don't want to deal with hundreds or thousands of new connections. The decreased frequency of connection attempts after multiple failures is to let the servers deal with what they already have on their plates before trying to bombard them with more requests.
