power outage at Stanford--some server rooms down
Stanford's main power plant is currently offline (perhaps due to flooding--we're having unusually heavy rains this morning). Some of our server rooms are affected. We're assessing the situation and doing our best to maintain maximal server availability. Please bear with us.

Power and cooling are mostly restored; one of the major server rooms is still down. We're waiting for an update from the admins who take care of it.

Our remaining server room has come back online and we are currently restarting servers. Most servers should return to normal operation shortly. Thanks for your patience.

Power restored at Stanford's core campus
Lightning struck PG&E's transmission facility, took out power until 10 a.m.
