171.67.108.13 not connecting to Work Server
Hi,
I'm getting this error on both of my consoles
[09:06:30] - Attempt #8 to get work failed, and no other work to do.
Waiting before retry.
[09:17:20] + Attempting to get work packet
[09:17:20] - Connecting to assignment server
[09:17:41] - Couldn't send HTTP request to server
[09:17:41] + Could not connect to Assignment Server
[09:17:41] - Successful: assigned to (171.67.108.13).
[09:17:41] + News From Folding@Home: Welcome to Folding@Home
[09:17:42] Loaded queue successfully.
[09:17:42] + Could not connect to Work Server
[09:17:42] - Attempt #9 to get work failed, and no other work to do.

I get OK when I enter the IP address in my browser, but I don't get any WU's although on the server page is states that there are still WU's left. Is there a way to connect to other servers or do I just have to wait?

I had some troubles getting work from this server too this morning ... but I finally got a WU after 10 attempts ...

I restarted them already a couple of times but still nothing. Apparently I'm the only one with problems for this server? I get assigned but can't connect to the work server.

After 6 days, I still don't get any work from this server. When I look at the server status page everything seems ok and I see the available WU's decreasing.
Anybody any idea what could cause this? Why doesn't my console use another work or assignement server instead after so many failures?

Same here since Saturday. Stopped and restarted several times. Uninstalled and reinstalled. The other four machines are fine, just this one.

Its a long shot but try rebooting your router. Shut down the PC, Switch off the router, Restart the PC and when windows is reloaded switch the router back on. Which version of the client are you running, and on which OS? Are you using the -advmethods flag or any other special settings? In the configuration, which setting did you choose for the size of the WUs: SMALL/NORMAL/BIG ?
Have you changed anything recently in your firewall or AntiVirus software?
The server is currently distributing a lot of WUs and accepting a lot of results.

I have version 6.23 and working on Vista SP1. This is my computer at work, so I don't have access to routers and stuff. Before this server my consoles used another server and that worked fine but since he tried to use this one he won't connect.
My setting for the WU's is set to BIG, I don't use any other flags

It's wasn't the router as I've got two more machines running off the same one. It finally connected to a different server at 08.00 GMT this morning after attempt #25 .

I'm been getting the same message here. I'm at the library for the 3rd time this week and still can't download. I tried at work and couldn't download there. (There firewall may been blocking it there.) Don't thing it's a router problem.

And that's after multiple reboots etc, I can't reboot the router as I'm at work, but I'm the network admin here and there's certainly no issues on port 80.
I do go through a proxy server however (I've had F@H run fine through our proxy in the past), anyone else running a similar network?

Still no work for me either after 12 days!
