Assignment servers down ? Fixed

Post by dschief »

Have 2 Linux SMP clients unable to connect to assign.stanford.edu:8080 & assign2.stanford.edu:80
Don't know what the real ip is? Have a Quad with 20 failed attempts to get new Wu following a successful upload!
Any body else having trouble ?

Turned out to be a F12 related issue, down-loaded updated fah6 client & we're back up & running :mrgreen:

Everything is working fine here. I can connect to both of those with a browser and two of my clients just got work about 5m ago.

It looks like the Linux SMP servers are under a pretty heavy load right now. Sometimes if you stop the client then restart it will help in this situation.

2 - SM H8QGi-F AMD 6xxx=112 cores @ 3.2 & 3.9Ghz
5 - SM X9QRI-f+ Intel 4650 = 320 cores @ 3.15Ghz
2 - I7 980X 4.4Ghz 2-GTX680
1 - 2700k 4.4Ghz GTX680
Total = 464 cores folding
