Post by Foxery »

Evening, gents!

Just a heads up that I sent two WUs for project 3306 that haven't shown up in my stats 8-12 later. Hoping they haven't disappeared into the void :)

Useful details -
Windows Uniprocessor console client 6.10b1
Running two instances on a Core2 Duo in WinXP
Username Foxery, Team 198

Project: 3306 (Run 858, Clone 0, Gen 0)
Project: 3306 (Run 299, Clone 2, Gen 0)

Both logs show succesful uploads to the same server:

I'm missing two also.

86/1/0
462/3/0

Might be a server glitch?
Last one took awhile to be uploaded.

Well they might be missing from the server and not just from your stats page...

Foxery, I don't see a record of those WUs, so there's likely an issue at Stanford's end.

swatspyder, turn off USE IE SETTINGS, and your WU will mostly likely upload. The clue is the (wininet) message in the log. Whether or not you get credit immediately seems up in the air at the moment.

I just got into work and noticed that I'm missing 7 so far (folding an 8th), sinse friday the 29th.

p3306, r110, c2, g0 -> work desktop.
p3306, r461, c1, g0 -> work desktop.
p3306, r478, c1, g0 -> work laptop.
p3306, r140, c1, g0 -> work laptop.
p3306, r337, c3, g0 -> work desktop.
p3306, r583, c2, g0 -> work laptop.
p3306, r652, c1, g0 -> work desktop.

Also, several of them took a long time (24 hours) to upload results.

It's funny a server is too busy to accept results, but simultaneously not too busy to send a new WU !

I have sent in 4 complete work units of this protein and I am folding another one right now.
Are we supposed to get credit for these complete work units anytime soon?

I would expect so, yes. Message sent to Relly to check on this. -7im

The 3306 problem does not involve only nor crediting work.
I am now folding a WU that I allready folded 2 days ago.

Indeed I folded p3306, r337, c3, g0 from 2 march 6:14 to 2 march 18:22, results where sent much later on 3 march 6:12 !!!
Now I was sent p3306, r337, c3, g0 again on 4 march 6:26, it's now at 55%

Log files are available to send.

A suggestion : If a server has a weird unknown, hard to fix problem -> STOP sending WUs from it.

BTW, I am now at 10 p3306 WUs not credited + an 11th that will not be credited because it's a duplicate.

I thought they were going to suspend the project temporarily. I've notified the appropriate people, in case something happened and it still needs to be suspended.

I finally got credit for completing 1 of these 3306 work units. I have not gotten credit for 5 of these work units yet.

It seems that starting from last night the new 3306 WUs are now credited.
I've still got lots of uncredited ones.

From my first client:
Project: 3306 (Run 460, Clone 2, Gen 0)
Project: 3306 (Run 505, Clone 1, Gen 0)
Project: 3306 (Run 1462, Clone 3, Gen 0)
For the last WU the log had following to say:

Code: Select all

[10:17:23] + Attempting to send results
[10:17:23] - Reading file work/wuresults_01.dat from core
[10:17:23] (Read 9297154 bytes from disk)
[10:17:23] Connecting to http://171.65.103.100:8080/
[10:18:44] Posted data.
[10:18:45] Initial: 0000; - Uploaded at ~110 kB/s
[10:18:45] - Averaged speed for that direction ~78 kB/s
[10:18:45] - Server does not have record of this unit. Will try again later.
[10:18:45] Could not transmit unit 01 to Collection server; keeping in queue.
[10:18:45] + Sent 0 of 1 completed units to the server
[10:18:45] - Autosend completed
And then later:

Code: Select all

[16:18:45] + Attempting to send results
[16:18:45] - Reading file work/wuresults_01.dat from core
[16:18:45] (Read 9297154 bytes from disk)
[16:18:45] Connecting to http://171.64.65.106:8080/
[16:20:05] Posted data.
[16:20:05] Initial: 0000; - Uploaded at ~109 kB/s
[16:20:08] - Averaged speed for that direction ~84 kB/s
[16:20:08] + Results successfully sent
[16:20:08] Thank you for your contribution to Folding@Home.
[16:20:08] + Number of Units Completed: 49

[16:20:08] + Sent 1 of 1 completed units to the server
[16:20:08] - Autosend completed
It still seems to be uncredited.

The ones from my other client:
Project: 3306 (Run 215, Clone 2, Gen 0)
Project: 3306 (Run 625, Clone 2, Gen 0)
Project: 3306 (Run 836, Clone 2, Gen 0)
Project: 3306 (Run 862, Clone 1, Gen 0)
Project: 3306 (Run 1208, Clone 1, Gen 0)
Project: 3306 (Run 1435, Clone 3, Gen 0)
The last one was reissued yesterday and is probably credited now.

No dice here, but I'm really not worried about 300 points as long as the science aspect is fixed.
