I am currently running the MPICH client. Is it ok if i run the GPU client along with the MPICH client?
This is my spec
Intel core 2 quad Q6600
Intel DP45SG motherboard
2GB DDR3 RAM
HIS 4650 512MB graphic card
running CPU & GPU clients

Of course.
Just be careful with priorities (run the SMP client with idle setting, and the GPU client with low). And set up environment variables for your ATI to better optimize it.

Definately make sure youre using enviromental variables so as to wack the gpus cpus usage.

I have a Q9450 + HD3850 running 4*CPU+GPU under Win7 64-bit and Catalyst 9.10. It was not reliable under XP and earlier Catalyst versions, but is fine now. EVs for that config:
