future of the client

Post by theteofscuba »

This reminds me of something I was thinking about a few days ago. I think it would be good to build a single F@H client that does both uni-processor, smp and gpu. Also, If it is possible to combine the GUI and console clients by invoking the exe with a "-console" parameter to let the user change their mind for which presentation they want to see. Also, to simplify packaging, I think the combination of all these factors will make it simpler for non-techies to easily make the most of their hardware.

One super client has been a perpetual request. Grand idea, but now sure how well running a GUI client with the -console switch would work, ;) But I like the rest.
