Can you run FAH offline?

As well as running FAh on my home computer i have it on a flash drive and use it on computers at the university i go to while working, however although i downloaded the WU ok, but becuase of port blocking or something when i start it up it cant request my user ID etc from server, is there a way to run it without checking for my user ID etc?

The client has to have registry access and internet access the first time it starts on any machine so that it can download and write the UserID assigned to that machine to the registry. This helps to enforce the EULA which states that you may only use it on machines you have written permission to fold on or that you personally own and many machines where permission has not been given will have lockouts like the one you have experienced.

If you have written permission to use the software on university computers, no doubt the university staff will be willing to unblock the ports and allow the program to have the registry access it needs to do this.

After you get a machine ID on to the offline computer, then you can fold offline, and move the thumb drive to an online computer when you need to upload/download.
