Re: Folding on Sapphire 5830 and AMD 965.
The GPU and CPU fighting for time will still occur, so you should change the CPU field to 3. While it says you should use a multiple of 2, 3 will not cause any problems (certain cores can't work on large prime numbers of threads, but 3 is not large enough to be troublesome). Also, though it's rathe...

Re: Folding on Sapphire 5830 and AMD 965.
I have the v7 client running GPU and CPU right now. During the initial setup I had it do GPU only then added CPU later on. I left the CPU set at -1 so the program could pick the best setting which appears to be all four cores being used. According to FAHControl... CPU Estimated PPD = 664.56 GPU Esti...

Re: Folding on Sapphire 5830 and AMD 965.
Those task manager affinity settings revert to default if the program was closed and re-opened, so it was only during one instance that the affinity was changed. The SMP client sat at 82% for quite a while and still wasn't showing properly in HFM.net so I just closed it. I launched both clients abou...

Re: Folding on Sapphire 5830 and AMD 965.
I got the F@H v7 client installed and running. I can't seem to figure out how to get it to show up in HFM.NET and I've tried the */roaming/* and */program files (x86)/* directories, is this something I'm just gonna have to deal with? I also changed the flag in the SMP2 client from -smp to smp 3. Wit...

Re: Folding on Sapphire 5830 and AMD 965.
Wasnt' aware there was a new amd client out, I'll give that a try. I'll also run the SMP2 config again and change the flag from -smp to -smp 3. Should I leave affinity in task manager as default or change it to 3 cores / 1 core for SMP / GPU? Here's the SMP2 log file starting at the last WU that hit...

Re: Folding on Sapphire 5830 and AMD 965.
Sometime throughout the night something happened to the SMP2 client. It's now showing a yellow status in HFM.NET and it looks to be stopping at 80% but no errors and CPU usage doesn't drop back down. If I reload it it starts back at 79%. I tried reloading both clients which didn't seem to work. I th...

Folding on Sapphire 5830 and AMD 965.
Hey all. Trying to get back in to folding and noticed there's been some updates since my last f@h attempt. I want to get back to folding on both my Sapphire 5830 and my AMD Phenom II x4 965BE. My CPU isn't overclocked currently but my 5830 is overclocked from 800/1000 to 875/1200. I have installed F...
