Re: PNY F@H Contest - Free Prizes
I'm also wondering if there is a way to check if one's registration to the contest has been taken into account (that's a good question for all people who won't appear in the charts) ... :?: You can check it by logging in @ http://portal.xlr8gaming.net/ , login is at the top right. Then under "...

Re: PNY F@H Contest - Free Prizes
I thought this contest might be a good idea, but now I'm skeptical ... :? With such a huge farm, he's probably folding at his work, which is, IMHO, totally unfair. No one will be able to compete with him ... Ya, same thoughts in my mind...then I saw him hit 1,000,000+ on the first day and I'm...

Re: World of Warcraft and folding@home
You've picked the wrong system resource. WoW "requires" (for any useful level of play) a broadband connection, on which one would hardly ever notice F@H work data. Since the F@H client backs off on CPU usage while you're playing, RAM is the only thing you can potentially overtax - the del...

Re: Dual-booting & Machine ID's
The machine is the same, just depends on which OS I boot to, whether it be Windows XP or Windows Vista x64.
How would I export my System ID ?

Dual-booting & Machine ID's
If I have my Windows XP boot and my Vista x64 boot...can/should I use the same machine ID for all the clients ? Say...machine ID 1 for GPU2 and machine ID 2 for SMP client on my Windows XP, and the same machine ID 1/2 for GPU2/SMP on the Vista x64 boot. Or should I use 3/4 for the GPU2/SMP on the Vi...

Re: PPD Results & Suggestions
mpich2 process manager or Deino MPI process manager depending on which client. Don't need a bat file, and stopping the service that way changes it startup type from automatic to manual so watch out with it. Oops, I meant the GPU2 console client, my apologies...looks like there is no "alias&quo...

Re: PPD Results & Suggestions
Hmm, I'm trying to figure out the alias of the SMP-service in my services.msc so I can do a .bat to stop or start the service using net start/stop.
Any ideas ?

Sorry wasn't entirely clear to me, should have asked before I jumped to a conclusion. Smp is the future, glad you're happy with how it runs on your machine. Again sorry for making an assumption on to litle information, I hate when it happens to me and yet here I was doing it to you :( It's fine, so...
