Re: Has your folding PPD returned to what you've been gettin

Per the EOC forum - It looks like the F@H servers have been getting hit pretty hard these past couple days. When things get overloaded, the stats feed become the low priority on the update list (hence, all the 0 updates). Rest assured, any WUs you send back to the servers are safe and will get proce...

I have feeling this is at the bottom of their (Sony, MS) to do list. Just my hunch, nothing else.

Folding proteins discussion on NPR Science Friday

I haven't listened to the entire podcast but they do mention folding proteins. I hope they mention Folding@home.

Re: Blog post: "Unified GPU/SMP benchmarking scheme ..."

Well my two cents is that I will be switching from a AMD 5770 to a Nvidia GTX 660 Ti . I've grown tired of waiting for AMD to help out F@H. The race has been won as far as I'm concerned. It's all about the science.

Re: Project 7600 (19,0,53)

I'm running project 7610 (105,0,85) and the TPF is 1 hr 16 min. ETA is now 3.56 days and I'm at 33% complete. I guess I got a bad WU? Normally these SMP ones go pretty fast.

Re: I am a noob here, hope you guys can help!

When you give your presentation to your superiors be sure to tell them that the electricity bill will increase. You may want to measure wattage/voltage usage on the servers with and without the client over a couple of day period. At night when the server load is usually very low F@H will take full a...

Re: Packaging F@H in an MSI - Allowed?

Little off topic but bear in mind that the use of folding@home on pc's will increase the electricity use of the school. There was case here in the US where a IT person put multiple instances on his schools servers without the knowledge of his superiors and he was fired. Using public funds to do fold...

Re: Folding@home proposal letter to my school

Sounds good but you're going to have to address the issue of $'s spent on electricity. I know in my school district there's a constant battle over money. Give them estimates ahead of time would help your cause.
