okay nvm I just deleted the directory and started over with a new install using the .deb file

I was on 8.4.9 I did something.. it said online 8.5.5 I restarted my computer... it is now back to 8.4.9 and I have 2 versions of my computer on the webstie... 1 linked and 1 not. what do I need to do to just upgrade versions

How do I uninstall the .tarz files? I has down graded back to 8.4.9 after I restarted.... and where do I put the .deb files?

I fixed it somehow.... I am now on 8.5.5

Also I am not sure what the difference between .deb and .tarz

When I get to the part in the Linux Debian / Mint / Ubuntu installer in the terminal about scons –c cbang... I am getting an error...
