Re: Lots of things that aren't working, new install
Hmm, well, the guide taught me nothing new. Reading it before the installation wouldn't have taken care of any of these problems.

Re: Lots of things that aren't working, new install
What about the other problems then? - The Display window, while using any of the views that show information, doesn't show anything for Donor Name or team, Performance or time left, and shows "0/0" for progress. - Right-clicking the F@H icon in the tray and then clicking on any of the alte...

Re: Lots of things that aren't working, new install
I've noticed that F@H doesn't do much if it's set to the lowest process priority, so i raised it to the higher option and set the processor usage slider to ~40%, which by then it got up to 40/10,000 processes quite quickly. Start FAH and set it to the lowest priority and set to 100% CPU. Now look i...

Re: Lots of things that aren't working, new install
I guess i should, yeah.
Would be quite helpful if it was more obvious that You need to read a guide for the application to work, preferably at the same page as You download it. Fascinating how they leave options that destroy the entire configuration data left in the application.

Re: Lots of things that aren't working, new install
Hmm, then maybe that's what happened. But that was what i thought i was avoiding by using a low checkpoint. If the application needs to save the progress before You shut it down, and if it resets everything if You shut it down while it is saving... wow.. six years in the making, and this is where we...

Re: Lots of things that aren't working, new install
Client visible in the log below. Who needs a guide to click "Next" in a regular self-installation? Why should that be necessary? The log was also reset. This is the one from today: # Windows CPU Systray Edition # Folding@Home Client Version 6.23 [16:53:43] - Ask before connecting: No [16:...

Lots of things that aren't working, new install
I downloaded and installed the latest version of the F@H for WinXP yesterday and created a new team as well. Here are my problems: - The Display window, while using any of the views that show information, doesn't show anything for Donor Name or team, Performance or time left, and shows "0/0&quo...
