Re: FahSpy (monitoring tool)
I'm having trouble getting this to work in Ubuntu 9.04 Linux. I've had it working in the past just fine, but now it will run once with a whole bunch of errors, but won't startup a second time and I need to reinstall and resetup everytime I reboot. Here's the errors I get: mark@mark-eVGA:~/Desktop/fa...

Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)
I'm using Windows 7 and it only seems to change the name of the current project in foucus, otherwise it doesn't affect the other clients I have running. No crashing yet, just the generic name changes. -=Mark=- ps, I spoke too soon. I just went to FahMon to check on it and it was closed. I'm pretty s...

Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)
hmm, I see no .fahmon anywhere when I use dir -a. I see tons of other .filenames, just not .fahmon. could it be listed elsewhere?
Thanks

Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)
For some reason I can't seem to get 2.3.99.1 working. It seems to compile just fine, but I can't get it to run at all. Whenever I select it under applications --> System tools it acts like it does nothing. same when I go to the FahMon-1.2.99.1 folder. I even opened up a terminal and manually type ./...

Re: Is there a way to auto-track my wu/ppd?
I see that it tracks them live. I was looking for more of a history to track them over time to see how well I fold over time for all projects and all my gpus and cpus. Maybe it has those features and I missed them. I did see an export section, but it looked like I needed to export to another program,...

Is there a way to auto-track my wu/ppd?
I was wondering if there is a way to track my folding. Kind of like what is listed in the GPU section for which GPU generate how many ppd per project. I think it would be neat to have something like this to track how ell my system is folding and l;et me know of any problems I'm having. I have alread...

Re: Windows 7 - All Windows 7 comments go here.
I just installed Windoes 7 and used windows update to get latest drivers, but some are not installed still. I try to get X58 drivers from Intel and can't seem to find them. I also try to install optional updates and the 9800GX2 driver fails (I have 2 9800GTX in slot 1 & 2 with 9800GX2 in slot 3)...

Re: is there a PPD program for the command line? Samba?
woot, I got the new 4870GX2 installed and folding. I now have over 35k ppd. I reinstalled Ubuntu and have the desktop version up and running. Samba was a snap and I have FahMon on my Vista gaming rig monitoring all my folding. I do get a lot of hung messages when it refreshes the screen. I just masn...

Re: is there a PPD program for the command line? Samba?
Looks like you posted about the same time as me parkut. - lol but thanks for the extra info. I managed to get samba on my Ubuntu desktop version in my vmware window. I may reinstall ubuntu desktop version on my i7 instead of the server version to get my web browser and gui back. anyway, I'm folding ...

Re: is there a PPD program for the command line? Samba?
Thanks for the big effort MstrBlstr, but I finally got it. I was rushing through the Ubuntu Samba setup and was entering some client settings. The old smb.conf file was whacky from the first setup help file I found and just deleted it and copied back the original smb.conf file and it was working in ...

Re: is there a PPD program for the command line?
Yeah, that's the one I'm using now. The first one I tried was for command line only and this one focuses on the graphical stuff a lot. maybe if I tell you why I want it. I cannot find a command line for PPD monitoring, so I was advised to setup a server and monitor it from my windows machine with sa...

Re: is there a PPD program for the command line?
you wouldn't happen to know of a good non-GUI samba install guide. I'm finding it very overwhelming to setup personally. Maybe I just found the wrong guide?

is there a PPD program for the command line? Samba?
I installed the Ubuntu 8.04.1 server as I found a post with a setup guide for running smp and two gpu clients. Now I'd like to be able to figure out my PPD, but FahMon and FahSpy were for a GUI.
Is there an equivalent for the command line?

Re: HELP! Folding in VMWare on a Nehalem CPU isn't working.
Yes, I'm using VMWare Server 2.0. Sorry, I forgot to add the server part. I tried using Ubuntu and the smp -8 and was only getting around 2k. I get that in windows MPICH. But on my Q9450 I get almost 3k with vmware server 2.0 and Ubuntu 8.04.1 with only 2 cores. I was expecting much better on i7 cor...
