Re: Highland4 stopped logging credits for WU 18262 on 4/20

Muchas gracias for taking care of us Justin.

Getting credit is not the reason we fold, but it's nice to keep track of our progress.

The important part is the research. Credit will come in its time.

Highland4 stopped logging credits for WU 18262 on 4/20

Around 07:00 my hosts stopped logging credit for 18262 tasks. This persisted until the apparent end of the run midday on 4/21. Much gratitude to anyone who could rectify it for us crunchers. :D

Re: Project 18260 18268

Justin, the 18260 tasks are now credited up to date on my account.

It appears that 18262 is the only one currently not logging credit.

I haven't seen 18269 or 18274 on any of my hosts yet.

Re: Project 18260 18268

Well, now it's 18262 that stopped crediting. Looks like about 12 hrs ago.
Also, after crediting for past WUs, the server hasn't credited my latest 18260 tasks either.
The glitch is still there, IMHO.

Re: Project 18260 18268

The last credited 18260 on my clients was 4 days 12 hrs ago. following that there were 3 failed WUs that no one could run when I checked the log. That would point to the morning of the 14th when this occurred. After that I show no credit for 30 completed 18260 work units presently. Hope that helps i...

V. 7.6x quit recognizing 5070ti after driver updates.

I was able to restore functionality by reloading the windows version after deleting the updated driver using DDU. A recent windows update must have changed to a newer Nvidia driver because my fix quit working. I was forced into updating to the latest version of F@H... AND I COULDN'T BE MORE HAPPY AB...

Re: PCIe bandwidth requirements (RTX 50xx edition)

I have run my 5070ti on a PCIe v.3 (10400 i5) and noticed about a million PPD drop from PCIe v.4 (5600X). That was not for very long so it might not be accurate. Right now I'm seeing 14-16 million PPD from it with the Ryzen 5 5600X on Win 11.

Re: Unable to upload to 128.174.73.74

Whatever is wrong is getting worse. All my hosts are now affected. Is this a DDOS attack on F@H? Or could it be Starlink (my ISP)?

Re: Unable to upload to 128.174.73.74

I have the same issue with only one WU: PRCG 12129. The upload file is huge. Could a federal tax credit be enacted for distributed computing?

Just a pipe dream, but points could be used to offset US tax dollars if the right folks in power were made aware of how much money distributed supercomputing can save in the funding of higher Ed institutions' computing needs. It would encourage more participation if some of the cost of electricity w...

Re: Why are you folding?

Pop's Reasons To Fold: -Intrinsic satisfaction. (Doing something that contributes instead of signaling virtue.) -FAH has a constant supply of work for GPUs on projects of medical import. BOINC projects like GPUGrid often run out of work. -Bonus system rewards fast WU returns better than BOINC. Award...

Re: Struggles Uploading Completed Jobs to Temple University Servers (129.32.209.20x)

Thank you much for that tip. I've been mulling over whether my ISP (Frontier) changed something last Dec.. That gives me a starting point with them. I'll give that a further look. I apologize for including the IP Address of project 8717, I mistakenly took it from one of my hosts' log as being from p...

Re: Struggles Uploading Completed Jobs to Temple University Servers (129.32.209.20x)

Thanks, I first saw this in Dec '22 and switched to doing BOINC for a while, hoping the bug would disappear over time. I recently discovered that I can upload project 18717 so I can just do those for now. I wish I could abort the transfers that are now trying in vain to upload to Temple, and also se...

Re: Struggles Uploading Completed Jobs to Temple University Servers (129.32.209.20x)

Is there any attention being given to the issue of T.U. collection servers dropping slow uploads? Perhaps adjusting a time-out parameter on the server would help, but it seems to keep slowing down until it just quits. 18:05:57:WU00:FS01:Trying to send results to collection server 18:05:57:WU00:FS01:...
