Re: Project: 2686 (Run 3, Clone 1, Gen 46) No Bonus Points?

Your log might, but the server didn't that was the problem. Also, Why change from "-smp 12" setting to "-smp 8" and then to "-smp 10" and then back to "-smp 12" in the middle of a WU? That's not recommended, and could be the cause of the problem. @PG, Why can...

Re: 171.64.65.56 ???

Mine did, too, and net load is already back up to 62. Guess that's just how it is in SMP land right now. I don't tend to notice until I see a thread about it, though. I tend to let it all happen as it happens in cases like this because I know the Project Manager is aware and doing his best to keep ...

Re: Project: 10632 NaNs detected

There is no such thing as a Rogue software build. Is prime95 a rogue software build because it did a better job of loading a CPU than anything else before it? Is stresscpu2 a rogue software build because it manages to generate higher temperatures than prime95? No, they're just code that works the h...

Re: Project: 10632 NaNs detected

There are several posts in other topics that suggest that Project 10632 may be the most critical test of GPU stability known to man and that they run fine with less critical settings. Let us know what you find. This is true with the fermi's as it was with the 200's and the g80's. It is the evolutio...

Re: Project: 2682 (Run 1, Clone 26, Gen 21)

If they are using 32-bit Windows then that may have been the problem as it would not see the 6 gig but rather be limited to an amount that was less than the WU was taking on my system. They might try to increase their page file but I'm not sure how much it would help, if at all. . They employed a t...

Re: Project: 2682 (Run 1, Clone 26, Gen 21)

I would think that it would be in the best interests of Folding to at least attempt to get through any project assigned.

It may not be the easiest or least intrinsic on our time/effort..... but if PG is assigning, they must still need it.... JIMO

Did you do a fresh 6.30 install? Also if you are Vista, I had to go into the system and disable the MPICH service. Hope this helps.

Re: STATS system down?

Thanks a lot Dr. Vijay Pande for updating us. Personally, I believe that even when the stats are down for the third party, everybody is loosing the same amount (remember that you are getting 0 credits) hence your position in the 24 Hour Average would be same. However when the update happens, thinks...

Re: STATS system down?

As things stand today, a lot can be done Remotely, so that need only to cost Stanford if something like this happens (on WE or official holidays) and for the time needed to fix the problem(s). Depending on the quality of the server rooms hardware & software, that shouldn't happen too much. The ...

Re: STATS system down?

1st, Vijay, don't get to this level of arguement as it degrades yourself to others  . Your project is doing very great stuff for science. The fact that you are apparrently lashing out at a "DONOR" with a byach to pitch ATM is not doing the "Project" any good.. Leave that to...

Re: STATS system down?

I kind of find it amazing that a group that has millions of dollars of donated computer resources to it can not keep the reward system up and going. My team has been doing what we can without this support. I expect we will have this up shortlly. Sorry for the delay -- I more than anyone else wish w...
