Thanks for the replies. Yes, I added the GPU slot at some point, and then deleted it. Anyway I think solved it, it was a case of a shortcut mix-up. I believe I was opening FAHControl.exe and that's why it wouldn't start folding. Sorted it out now, sorry for the confusion.

I'm back at this, because it won't work for me any more. I uninstalled, deleted all folders, reinstalled (autostart enabled as recommended) and use only a cpu slot. Oh ok, found the answer. I confused the Autostart option, too - thought it was boot-related.

I had to reinstall FAH because it got stuck on "Connecting..." when I opened it, but now it looks like this is permanent (local/connecting/127.0.0.1:36330). It only goes away with a FAH reinstall.
