Re: Nvidia to limit the hashrate of RTX 3000 series GPUs. FA

The well known list:
https://folding.lar.systems/gpu_ppd/overall_ranks
There is a "3080 Lite Hash Rate" currently at rank 3. It has the same PPD like the 3080. The "3060TI Lite Hash Rate" is even faster than the 3060TI.

Re: Does the CPU affect the speed of the GPU?

I must do something wrong. I use a PCIe riser with PCIe 2.0 x1->x16 (x16 only mechanical), and have no performance penalties on a GTX1050Ti. For a very small protein, the performance penalty of 1x will be small enough that you probably won't notice. For a larger protein (with more atoms) the GTX105...

Re: RTX 2070 revisions and points

Still waiting for someone to enlighten me. :D The model number, in your case M 6497 vs. M 7465 is displayed in the FAHControl window. In the case the 2070 is the slower one, your PPD wil not decrease that much (1,4M vs. 1.7M), but if it is the faster Rev. A, then you get 2,3M PPD. I know, it is a b...

Yes. Just compare these lists:

I did this some time ago. It was boring.

Re: Start folding with a Raspberry Pi

I have some more numbers in average PPD over several FAH-Projects, tested on some of my ARM-SBCs: RasperryPi 4B (4GB): 1680 Rock 64: 670 Odroid C2: 860 RockPi-4A: 1906 On the RockPi-4A, it runs on all 6 cores, on the other computers, FAH uses all 4 cores. The numbers are with passkey. But I stopped ...

Re: Need help selecting a Processor

A PCIe 4.0 x1 riser is not faster than a PCIe 3.0 x1 riser, if your GPU is not a PCIe4.0 device. You would need at least a GPU of RTX3000 series or RX5000 to take benefit of PCIe 4.0.

Re: RTX 3080 vx RX 6900XT vs RTX3090

So we have to read the CPUid in this way:
C911-> Folding slot
D85E66C982CF -> System (e.g. mac address)
?

This is exactly the way I do usually. Additionally, you may note down your PPD of the old GPU and compare it to the new.

Re: RTX 3080 vx RX 6900XT vs RTX3090

I'd be interested to know who out there is running at about a 20M PPD level and what hardware it takes to do that. Or frankly anyone > 5M PPD, what are hardware combinations that are known working for 8, 10, 12, 15, or 20M PPD ? I see some people getting those kinds of numbers and I'm not sure if i...
