Well. that setting is in the NVIDIA Settings app which is installed when I install the NVIDIA driver.
Just not in the BIOS.

Re: ERROR: There is no registered Platform called "OpenCL"
Thanks, Bruce. I'm sure this is a good idea, but I couldn't find any option in BIOS setup to enable/disable any graphics card. But as long as I'm folding again, I'll let it ride until the next glitch.

Re: ERROR: There is no registered Platform called "OpenCL"
Your laptop will be using Optimus - and what you are describing re settings and how GPU is selected is Optimus .. It has been around for a lot longer than four years ... It is the technology that allows you Intel iGPU and the nvidia one to co-exist ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nvidia_Optimus ....

Re: ERROR: There is no registered Platform called "OpenCL"
Hi, and thank you for looking into this. This morning (Central European time), folding is working normally again with both CPU and GPU slots. I wish I knew where the error was coming from, though. As to Intel vs. NVIDIA, there is an Nvidia Settings app which allows one to choose which GPU to use (NV...

Re: ERROR: There is no registered Platform called "OpenCL"
Yes, it is using the NVIDIA card, I blacklisted the Nouveau driver. You can see it in the log entries that it is using it:

08:19:20:Enabled folding slot 01: PAUSED gpu:0:GP107M [GeForce GTX 1050 Mobile] (by user)

Re: FAH packages available on a new repo for Debian and Ubun
@samcarboni ... THANK YOU! I had been successfully folding on Ubuntu 18.04 with both CPU and NVIDIA GTX 1050 until suddenly the GPU slot stopped working. In the log file, it was stated that I might need to update the video driver. So I updated the Nvidia driver from 390.x to 440.x, but then it cause...
