Re: What happened to all the QRB?

When you upgraded, did you possibly un-install the old version and it's data? In that case your username and passkey information needs to be entered again. Yes, I had to delete the whole previous installation to get it to work properly. However, I immediately re-entered my username and passkey with...

What happened to all the QRB?

Upgraded to FAH Client 7.6.13 from 7.6.9 about 10 days ago and haven't seen any QRB WU's since, particularly GPU QRB WU's. I know people are getting QRBs, but suddenly I'm not. Why?

Re: UHD Graphics 630 GPU Being Recognized over GTX 1070

...I'm letting the UHD 630 slot stay active. This allows the GTX 1070 to stop from being deleted whenever I close and restart the FAH client. So now with the GTX 1070 slot being persistent, then I'm just starting the FAH client and then selecting the UHD 630 slot and pausing it. Everything works no...

Re: UHD Graphics 630 GPU Being Recognized over GTX 1070

According to my information, the UHD 630 is NOt supported by FAH. Which OpenCL package are you using. Uninstalling Intel's OpenCL drivers often helps. I think that's another method to disable Optimus. Have you tried adding a second GPU slot and then disabling the one that's pointing to the Inel GPU...

UHD Graphics 630 GPU Being Recognized over GTX 1070

For some reason, when I shutdown and restart my computer, the FAH client is now picking up the onboard chipset graphics (UHD Graphics 630) over my robust Nvidia GTX 1070 Mobile graphics GPU (GP104BM). I have to go into the advanced interface, add GPU slot, and then it will add the GTX 1070. I then d...

Re: Reduce GPU Folding power

If I want to disable GPU and still do CPU work, can I do that through the advance options>slot configuration>gpu-index = 0 ? And when I'm ready to enable it just set it back to -1 ? Update: Never mind. Found the pause button on the advanced control interface and got it to do what I want from there. :D

Re: If a WU is assigned X cores, will x+1..n change anything

Yeah, I get it that you're concerned about CPU heat. One way you can run all of your cores but still decrease the heating is to limit frequency (underclock). You don't have to do that in the BIOS you can simply do it from your power plan settings. Goto "Power Options" from the control pane...

Re: Very high CPU temps on medium setting

Thanks ipkh. I had to Google PBO (Precision Boost Overdrive for those equally in the dark) and went off on a research project in the depths of the BIOS. Ahha, there it is, set to Auto, whatever that means. I've now turned it off, re-enabled the CPU slot and am awaiting a WU with interest. Once upon...

Re: Very high CPU temps on medium setting

I have exactly the same CPU (i7-4790K) and until recently was using the stock cooler. (GPU is RTX2080.) It kicks off enough heat that keeping the room its self cool starts to become a problem. Hot air is tending to stagnate around the case which can drive the temperature up. Something to think abou...

Re: Very high CPU temps on medium setting

FYI, your processor is rated at 82W TDP and max temp of 74C. JimboPalmer's suggestion will work, although you will see temperature spikes depending on your monitoring software poll rate. I'm working off of a laptop, so my cooling capacity isn't as robust as yours and my temps for my i7-8750H were ru...
