If it does not come back after a reboot, you might be having this issue: viewtopic.php?f=108&t=34839

FAH issues running as a 'standard' user on Win10 (NEW FIX)
(This is an updated, simpler version of my old fix. The old thread is here: FAH won't run correctly as a 'standard' user on Win10 (FIX) ) I was having issues getting FAH to run on a 'standard', non-administrator account on Windows 10. It ran ok on the administrator account, but not on the standard '...

Re: FAH won't run correctly as a 'standard' user on Win10 (F
Excellent. I explored this issue a little more. What seems to be happening is that the installer actually changes permissions on the single folder C:\Users\<admin_account_name>\AppData\Roamin\FAHClient to allow 'users' read and write access. This is not the best design. Standard users should not be ...

Re: FAH won't run correctly as a 'standard' user on Win10 (F
Thanks for the report! I think this problem is much more widespread than some seem to believe. The people who are NOT having issues running FAH as a 'standard' user probably do not realize that either : 1. The account they run it under is actually an admin account (note: if there is only one account...

It usually means there currently is no work available. It will keep trying until there is. It can take hours.

Re: FAH won't run correctly as a 'standard' user on Win10 (F
There is a single account on the system total? Then it is an admin account. Windows will not allow a lone, single account on a machine to be a standard account, there must be at least one (enabled) admin account.Do note that the system has a single account, not multiple.

Re: Moved up to 7.6.9: No WUs available for this configurati
I see a lot of people asking about this. Maybe " WARNING:WU00:FS00:Failed to get assignment from '65.254.110.245:80': No WUs available for this configuration " should be worded a little clearer that this is not in fact a problem with the client? Something like: "WARNING:WU00:FS00:The ...

Re: FAH won't run correctly as a 'standard' user on Win10 (F
I would add that even if you run FAH manually under the standard account with folders in the default locations it will not work, due to permission issues (partly due to the data folder being under the admin account's files and partly due to the client program folder being under 'C:\Program Files (x8...

Re: FAH won't run correctly as a 'standard' user on Win10 (F
"FAH runs in the user space of the person who installed it." Yes, but you CAN'T INSTALL AS A NORMAL USER - you have to provide admin permissions and it installs and runs as ADMIN. "You do need admin privileges to install the software in Program Files. The installer will ask for that ...

Folder name missing in 7.6.9
In addition to the installer bugs mentioned in my other thread, I noticed this minor bug for 7.6.9 Win10 version:
When uninstalling the client and data, the data uninstall question asks:
" Are you sure you want to delete everything in ${DataDir}? "
instead of the folder name.

Re: FAH won't run correctly as a 'standard' user on Win10 (F
Can you please start off by informing us how many user accounts you have on the system, how many of the user accounts are admin? If there's a way to reliably reproduce it, then we can raise an issue for the developer to investigate. I have a single account on my system. When I originally had this p...

Re: FAH won't run correctly as a 'standard' user on Win10 (F
I can verify that this problem still exists in FAH 7.6.9. Also, my GPU slot did not appear in this version. I uninstalled V7.5.1 and data before trying V7.6.9. I did a default install on Windows 10 Pro from a standard user account (the installer asks for admin rights, which I gave it). This is the l...

Re: FAH won't run correctly as a 'standard' user on Win10 (F
Yeah, it should really be a top priority to fix the installer. They don't seem to understand that the large majority of people do not have, and do not wish to have much technical ability . The large majority of windows users are just willing to: 1. Download installer 2. Run installer 3. Done (with n...
