Re: New RTX3xxx cards
Given that SLI is not possible any more with these cards, NVidia assume you won't have multiple cards any more. Those of us building FAH multi-cpu rigs aren't realy a market consideration for Nvidia. What's bizarre right now is pricing. Nvidia's online store still has 2070S at £489 for delivery now...

Re: Over 2 exaflops!
Now listed at over 2.6 exaflops, but I’m doubting the numbers. The assign rate, the points / day, and WU / day don’t seem to be increasing at all.

Re: Waiting for work on 192.0.2.1 ?
I can confirm that removing mesa-libOpenCL on Fedora 32 on all 3 of my computers got GPU folding back to working. I also had to create a soft link for libOpenCL.so in /usr/lib64 Can you expand on the softlink you created? I removed mesa-libOpenCL on my Fedora 30 box, but that alone did not resolve ...

Re: Waiting for work on 192.0.2.1 ?
Same issue here on fedora 30. System was running fine until 3am central time 8/1 per EoC stats. System is dual GPU, 1080ti and 1660 Super, with no recent changes for at least a month. It may be several days until I can money with the host again, so here is hoping it’s something on the F@H side of th...

Re: Total Points 2020 to date ...
The work unit count this year has strong Performance as well - about the same as the last 4 years.
What’s disheartening is the steady drop in number of users since April. There still seems to be some GPU work unit shortages, too, which I’m not sure I understand why that is the case other.

Re: Did FAH ever consider to move to BOINC?
BOINC was originally designed based on the needs of seti@home. (Yes, iI has come a long way since then.) If you intend to analyze the radio signals within a specific part of the spectrum from a small patch of sky. It makes no difference which analysis is completed first or last as long as they all ...

Re: Going to swap GPU - how does this affect my folding conf
My R7 250X has been cruising along at about 85,000 points per day on these work units, so I figured why not try the integrated R250 on my Kaveri. Yeah... that one is only getting around 20K per day, and it cuts the cpu speed. Guess you can’t win them all.

Re: Space Heater Build
It would be worth looking into some old data center hardware on ebay as well. I’ve seen HP Gen8 DL360s and 380s with dual Xeons going for $50 before. Plenty of heat and possibly more PPD to boot.

Re: Old PC upgrade suggestions
Took a little longer than expect for RTX2060 to arrive but it came today and PC stripped, cleaned and rebuilt. Treated to new be quiet! Silent Wings 3 fans which seem pretty good and way quieter than previous fans. Currently showing Est PPD for GPU as 1.2M. As case, Corsair Carbide 240 Air, has 3 x...

Re: PPD Database - HFM exports needed
I have a bunch of extra data points to add for a 1660 super. They will likely be my last for the 1660 though as I’ll be using the EVGA step up program for an upgrade.

Re: Turing Review: GTX 1660 Super and GTX 1650
Edit: EVGA precision X allows for a wider range of clock control than MSI afterburner - you can take the memory clock 2x lower on precision X. Given the 1660 super has tons of bandwidth due to the gddr6, my non scientific results show that you can clock down the ram to -1000, and leave the GPU cloc...

Re: Top GPUs for Folding@Home
I would also really love something like a splunk agent, where I set it up on my client PC and it just uploads the logs to the central repository as soon as they are generated - no user interaction required after initial install. We all would. The issue is that we are a couple of non-programmer volu...

Re: Top GPUs for Folding@Home
@gordonbb: If you want to have a short look at our new database viewtopic.php?f=38&t=34510 It shows most of your points, however clock speed and OS is not incorporated - clock speed can vary from WU to WU and even during the same WU, so I don't know how anyone should know which is the correct c...
