Re: 'Release Device' error
I'm getting the same error but only on my laptop. The lines I keep seeing repeated in the log whenever the error comes up are: 23:20:26:WARNING:WU02:FS01:FahCore returned an unknown error code which probably indicates that it crashed 23:20:26:WARNING:WU02:FS01:FahCore returned: UNKNOWN_ENUM (-10737...

Re: 'Release Device' error
Just searched my W7 system disk for files called '*OpenCL*.dll' and there are three: C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\OpenCL\OpenCL.dll C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\OPenCL\OpenCL64.dll C:\Program Files (x86)\AnyVideoConverter\OpenCL.dll Should this file be anywhere else too? I have to go o...

Re: 'Release Device' error
Many things done since last night but no improvement, alas! 1. Downloaded & installed MSI Afterburner. It gives the GPU temp as between 42 deg (startup) and 62deg, but typically 52deg. Interestingly, Speedfan reports this temp at 'CPU'. The GPU is not being used by Folding. CPU cores are running...

Re: 'Release Device' error
Right, I've rebooted - but the error is still popping up - and the GPU indicator is still blank yellow. B*gger! Here's the log after restart. It's 3am here so I'm off to bed, but will check back tomorrow. Thanks for your attempts to resolve this! Alison *********************** Log Started 2020-03-19...

Re: 'Release Device' error
I think I've found a log file. (Sorry, newbie.) Here it is. I have noticed that if I pause Folding, when I restart the GPU indicator 'spins its wheel' for a couple of seconds, then stops and remains yellow. The GPU never seems to get used at all. Not sure if this is relevant. Alison 01:23:10: <user ...

'Release Device' error
I have had to pause Folding because an error box keeps popping up, every 60sec or so: "The procedure entry point clReleaseDevice could not be located in the dynamic link library OpenCl.dll". It originates from FahCore_22.exe. Does anyone know what's happening and how to fix it? The program...

Re: Linux/Windows - how to only work on COVID-19?
Assuming you have your prefernece seto to ANY: If you fold with your GPU, you're most likely to get COVID19 assignments based on the priorirty set at the server. If you fold with your CPU you will certainly get a non-COVID19 project. If you fold with both, you'll get both types of projects. I'm a n...
