Re: F@H CPU Memory Bandwidth? 4 vs 8 Channel DDR4?
Bruce and all, thank you for the info! The 7302p has 128MB of L3 cache, so I would imagine that cache likely is able to hold large parts of each work unit right on the CPU.

Re: F@H CPU Memory Bandwidth? 4 vs 8 Channel DDR4?
Thank you for the replies. Has anyone run across any benchmarks or articles that explore these aspects of F@H? I'd gladly pick up another 4 sticks of DDR4 for this machine if you think the additional memory bandwidth will help performance. On prior Xeon workstation CPUs, it was hard to justify foldi...

F@H CPU Memory Bandwidth? 4 vs 8 Channel DDR4?
How much is F@H able to take advantage of CPU memory bandwidth? I am folding with a 2nd generation AMD Epyc 7302p CPU and it has an 8-channel DDR4-3200 memory controller. I currently have only 4 sticks of DDR4 in the machine, thus the CPU is only using 4 memory channels to talk with the memory. With...

This behavior also happens with AMD Epyc Rome (7002 series) CPUs in Windows 10.

Re: 997: Overlapped I/O operation is in progress.
Same here. I’ve been trying to find out more info about running a command line only client on Win10, but haven’t found much information. I guess I just need to wait and see if this is resolved in future releases as my two Intel boxes do not exhibit the same behavior.

@scerbera Are you on an AMD system as well?

Re: 997: Overlapped I/O operation is in progress.
How can I confirm that no more than one Web Control is running? I've even tried deleting the extra text that launches the web browser window from the FAHClient.exe launch shortcut.

Re: 997: Overlapped I/O operation is in progress.
No, Google Chrome is not running. I've tried uninstalling, setting default browser to Internet Explore, reinstalling, etc. and it keeps behaving this way. I have two other remote machines running Intel Xeon E5 & E3 CPU's and they do not exhibit this constant refreshing behavior. My machine that ...

997: Overlapped I/O operation is in progress.
I am receiving a bunch of "997: Overlapped I/O operation is in progress." error entries in the log file and FAHControl is constantly cycling between "connecting" "online" "updating" every couple of seconds, which makes it nearly impossible to make changes to t...
