Re: Volunteering to fix F@H Viewer
Meerteen, if you do that, I'll send you some (detailed/constructive) bug reports! You're up. :-) Re-reading this thread, I misread that you were talking about the viewer. I had bug reports for the client. That said, great work with this so far! I'll give it a try some day when I have access to a Wi...

Re: Coronavirus Disease -COVID-19
Read some conflicting info on what my client-type should be set to to be able to access covid-19 work currently. Should it be "beta" or "advanced"? You don't need to set either value - the COVID-19 work is all in standard release now. "beta" would be required for new t...

Re: Volunteering to fix F@H Viewer
Meerteen, if you do that, I'll send you some (detailed/constructive) bug reports! Not sure what the clients are written in (looks like C or C++), but FAHControl is written in Python/Qt w/ the source on the machine, so anyone can have a go at working on that. Where to send patches... your guess is as...

Re: GPU not detected
I had a weird problem earlier today... it detected one type of gpu, but not the other. I had already created the slots, and the slots listed the GPUs as unsupported. All were showing up fine in nvidia-smi and clinfo. Only the one slot with the GPU that wasn't unsupported ran GPU jobs correctly. The ...

Re: 1080 Nvidia GPU not available - Fedora 31
I have the same exact issue with my 1070 GTX on Fedora 31. I have tried the nvidia drivers from both the RPMFusion and negativo17 repos. I installed just about every opencl package I could find by running "dnf search opencl". I hope someone can help me figure out how I can fix the issues ...

Re: Not sure If working
Falconair, it always helps if you post a log. See viewtopic.php?f=24&t=26036 particularly 4-7 for info on how to do this.

Re: Trouble installing on Ubuntu & some other issues
So which CUDA do you have installed, 6.1 or 7.5? Are those installed on the other systems (since I don't know which CUDA versions are supported.) Are you using something like Environment Modules to switch your CUDAs, and if so, do you have a newer release installed you can run from?

Re: Is there a guide to config.xml?
@PantherX has a lot of good info in viewtopic.php?p=261089&f=24#p261088. A lot of these flags are the same as the XML tags. I'm in a similar environment as you, and was able to use this to cobble together an XML file for deployment to multiple machines. I tested individually first, verified prop...

Re: CentOS 8 - anyone have F@H running?
What exactly didn't work on 7.5.1? Did the client start? Installed but wouldn't start? Wouldn't even install?David_Wheeler wrote:Couldn't get FAHClient 7.5.1 to work with the newer libssl and lib crypto on Fedora 31. FAHClient 7.4.4 works.

Re: CentOS 8 - anyone have F@H running?
As you noted Ivan i had the same issue when run with --nodeps, doesnt do anything. Is this due to the rpm's just being out of date for linux i presume? dont really want to run CentOS 6.7 just to run F@H.... Yes, the --nodeps workaround is a common thing with old RPMs with Python dependencies being ...
