Oops! I just posted a new topic on this very problem myself! I get the Bad Gateway message in all three available avenues I am aware of - foldingathome.org stats, FAHControl app and the Web Control website.

Whether using the FAHControl app or the Web Control, whenever I try to access my stats in real time, I invariably get a "Bad Gateway" message. I have also tried getting stats on foldingathome.org and it gives me the same message. More than a bit frustrating! Ideas, anyone? Thanks in advance!

I believe I have solved the problem without having to uninstall/re-install. My problem happened when I attempted to invoke the desktop shortcut I created for the FAHControl.exe app. I tried double-clicking the app in its original folder, not the desktop, and it started up perfectly, now running fine!

Windows 10 Home feature set 1809 and all patches up to date. Safe mode and the system file checker were both unsuccessful. Still getting the zipimporter instance message. I've been reading other posts and I may have to uninstall and re-install the package that includes the FAHClient and the FAHContr...

When I double click FAHControl.exe, I get the following:

message box entitled "cx_Freeze Fatal Error" with the caption "cannot get zipimporter instance".

Needless to say, the program refuses to start up for me.

I'm running tasks without folding right now, completed 1200000 of 2000000 steps, according to the live FAH log. Only started running FAH last night, so I am learning as I go, assuming that these steps are preparing my FAH client to do some folding once all the steps are completed.

That was also my problem. Changed the browser to Firefox for the web control and all was well. I also learned how to invoke the FAHControl app - it is in the same directory as the client, and is much more powerful, although not as graphical, than/as the web control.

Thanks Bruce, I put the web control on Firefox and it appears to be working now. I still need to learn about FAHControl, how to invoke, etc. I was also confusing the client with the web control. It was the web control that was glitched.

OK, gonna leave to go back to bed. These coronavirus alerts/cancellations are messing with my sleep patterns. Will leave FAH running as I did before, this time under Firefox. Still no WU data after a number of minutes of otherwise looking like it is working. GPU up to 13.28%, no CPU and no WU stats.

OK, gpu is cranking at about 3%, cpu at 0%, no WU data showing at all. Patience required on my part?

OK, now running OK under Firefox, not looping, but still not doing any work @ present. Now am I subject to the server outage? My current identity is gorgo2005.
