Re: Too big units, comparing to just finished ones
I try to fold 24/7. Thank you I'm currently just running the Ryzen system in my signature. I have the CPU clock limited to roughly 3.3GHz and the GPU power limited to 60% (~130W). I'll not be surprised if somebody suggests doing it at 100 %, at least. FAH benefits best from the the work units being...

Re: Too big units, comparing to just finished ones
When I was choosing a platform I liked FAH because of its openness about results. It's rare that my units are not completed on time and after this, I get easy units so today I got 47kBC with an expiration day in 5 days and it should be finished after 1 day, so FAH is also designed for less intensive...

Re: Too big units, comparing to just finished ones
Thanks for the answers. I'm not going to often switch GPU's power. I accept it is not a priority for developers, however, most people stop serviceless folding after a few units, so I guess noise and/or temperature could be a big factor because it makes ,,Start and it will not let you forget it"...

After pause progress drops to multiple of 5 percent
So for example folding is stopped at 59 % and after resuming it drops to 55 %. I'm not sure whether it is with all units, but I'm sure with many.

Too big units, comparing to just finished ones
So from time to time I have a situation like ~60k Base Point unit is finished in 2.5 days and I get 80kBP with expiration in 2 days. I have a good GPU, but it is loud even at the medium setting, so I fold irregularly, but still giving a unit with a base credit/ time to expiration ratio that is bigge...

Funny, CPU started working after Windows restart - I didn't try it last time.

Re: CPU failed after FahCore returned: BAD_WORK_UNIT (114 =
An error report was uploaded for User PawelS that project:13827 run:35 clone:1 gen:64 failed. Ordinarily after a report is made, the entire WU is removed from your system. I'm not sure why that didn't happen. Once that report has been made, continuing reports for the same WU will not be accepted. I...

CPU failed after FahCore returned: BAD_WORK_UNIT (114 = 0x72

Re: Project: 14183, ERROR:110: Need version 0.0.18 CORE_OUTD
Are there any more lines after "Folding@home Core Shutdown: CORE_OUTDATED"? No. FAHCore_a7, version 0.0.17 is being updated to version 0.0.18 to fix a known problem (discussed elsewhere). That information should be in the current log but I don't see it. The science log posted above (from ...

Project: 14183, ERROR:110: Need version 0.0.18 CORE_OUTDATED
This info I've found in a log file after deleting the folder of the stuck CPU slot - I had thought it was a 1-time case perhaps after Windows crash by automatic backup service what happened from time to time. After the crash, I saw previous CPU WU was rejected by a server and a new WU was much bigge...
