forgot to say what gpu i am running asus radeon rx 580 8gb just one did have two and the computer some time kept crashing think it was getting two warm running two cards maybe removed one and its not crashed since cpu is amd thread ripper 2970wx using amd ryzen master to over clock at the moment on ...

hi all thanks for the help i have been running 6 cpu work loads for over a month temps have been good so from what most have said could run more will see how it goes

Running folding at home on thread ripper 24 cores cpu how many work units should i run or can i run and get good results can i run too many and have it not work as fast on each work unit slots

The fault is fixed ,I have updated windows 10 and that has fixed the problem ,I wonder if this current version of folding at home doesn't work on an older version of windows

I did a default installation I have uninstalled twice and reinstalled I didn't get any messages for firewall or from Norton I have had a look can't see if Norton or the firewall are blocking folding at home ,actually never had a problem before so very puzzled why I am now

first of all I have been folding for years and just built new pc with windows 10 installed folding at home most recent version 7.5.1
getting no folding and it says Connecting Inactive and all greyed out can you help thanks
