I just installed foldingathome and fahcontrol-gtk3-git and then used the web page to setup using name key and what I wanted to fold. I did not do any other setup.
foldingathome config.xml is in root, foldingathome can only be started and stopped using root.

Re: [Solved] nvidia service not loading
Finally found my answer!!!! in /usr/lib/systemd/system/foldingathome.service Changed After=foldingathome-nvidia.service to Reqires=foldingathome-nvidia.service For whatever reason the After command was not strong enough for making sure foldingathome-nvidia.service was running before starting itself.

Re: Very low CPU usage
Now I got things the way I was looking for. Info I was reading really can be confusing as to what the different settings do. Including that doing one thread at a time was faster.
Each individual unit may take a little longer but put together is much work.

Very low CPU usage
I have folding power set at full. Yet even when I am doing nothing it is running at 25% which is the same as if I put it at medium. The only difference with low is it shuts down GPU usage and runs then at 12%. Something is not quite right as I know at full it should be able to run at near 90%. 16:27...

nvidia service not loading
Tried beta version and I couldn't get it working. So I removed and reinstalled 7.6. I also have an Nvidia card. Since then foldingathome-nvidia.service will not load properly and folding will work but of course with no GPU. Also because xml demands GPU will not load properly. Uninstalling and reinst...

Re: Shows ready.. running.. returns to ready.
I am using arch foldingathome.. Everything seems to be working well now. A few wus after starting again the same issue showed up. After looking around I believe I figured out the problem was a corrupt work folder. I deleted that, restarted fah and since have had no reoccurance (cross ones fingers) B...

[Solved]Re: Shows ready.. running.. returns to ready.
Sorry for getting slow back to you. Not sure what happened, but after upgrading yesterday fah started running again. Mind you the item I was supposed to be working on ran out of time also. Whether I was one or the other or a combo of both I dod not know and right now do not have the time to find out...

FAHControl - segmantation fault
I am using Debian sid fully upgraded. I installed fahcontrol_7.5.1-1_all.deb with no errors showing up. The problem I am having is when I try to run it crashes. To trouble shoot I went into terminal and got this result. $ /usr/bin/FAHControl Loading theme Default Segmentation fault $ A month ago I r...
