Re: no download, no error, no message at all
I restarted it and got the same behavior. I also ran a speed test from a city a few hundred miles away and got about 350Mbps up and down. CPU cores continue to work fine. I can only assume it's something to do with the server? Edit: I restarted yet again and it worked almost instantly. 13:45:00:WU00...

Re: no download, no error, no message at all
With the "failed reading core package header" error stopping my CPU and this behavior stopping my GPU, I figured it was time to kill the FAHClient process and restart it. I'll include the new log on the off chance that it contains some new nugget of valuable information: ******************...

no download, no error, no message at all
But what's strange is that this is only happening for one slot: my GPU. The CPU continues to download, fold, upload, and repeat with no interruptions. The GPU finishes X number of jobs, uploads successfully, then just never downloads anything. In advanced control, the status is "download" ...

Re: freeze during folding
I've already updated the drivers since the last failure so I suppose it's possible that the new OpenCL Device Driver magically fixes the issue and this post is fruitless. I paused folding while I did some research but I can start it again to see what happens. I suppose that's the first and most prac...

freeze during folding
This problem only seemed to happen after my recent upgrade to a 2070. I don't know whether to blame the card or the drivers or both. For the most part, folding runs fine for days on end. About four times since the 2070 was added to the GPUs.txt file, I've come to use my computer and it seems more-or...

Re: Please add Nvidia RTX 2070 to GPU Whitelist
it's the 400- vs. 400A- that matters ... not the -A1. Yes, that's why I pointed out that both Ryan's 1f07 and my 1f02 are 400A. In the GPUs.txt file, the 1f07 is listed as Rev. A and the 1f02 is not even though they are both 400A. I'm assuming the stuff in brackets is just a cosmetic, friendly name...

Re: Please add Nvidia RTX 2070 to GPU Whitelist
From what I can tell, all of them (so far) are 400-A1 or 400 A -A1. Both mine and Ryan's are A-A1 even though his is 1f07 and mine is 1f02. I wouldn't hazard a guess at what that means. I suspect it's not meaningful to folding. I actually switched to 9 (since I remembered reading that it just can't ...

Re: Please add Nvidia RTX 2070 to GPU Whitelist
This description isn't quite right. I have the 1f02 and it is a Rev A as well. Edit: It's entirely possible this is a cosmetic name and has no bearing on anything important. If so, I'm fine with that. I suspect it will cause a number of confused/concerned inquiries but as long as the folding is proc...

Re: Please add Nvidia RTX 2070 to GPU Whitelist
Since the only thing that was edited was the one text file and that text file doesn't exist in a fresh install, just deleting the file and restarting the client causes it to download a fresh copy in the same way a fresh install would. I'm pretty sure you'd have to restart the client to get it to pic...

Re: Please add Nvidia RTX 2070 to GPU Whitelist
I have two cores reserved for the GPU and my old card (a now-antiquated 660) was getting 50k+ so there's really no reason a 2070 would get trash numbers like this other than it's not being properly utilized.
That's fine though, I understand it's a work in progress.

Re: Please add Nvidia RTX 2070 to GPU Whitelist
I manually added my 2070 to my own GPUs.txt. At first, it didn't get any jobs at all (which is how it's designed, I know) but it at least got rid of the errors and I could actually use the interface again. Now, it gets a job but it's incredibly, incredibly slow. Getting rid of the error was the supe...
