GPU cores lost after every / all reboots
So I hate Windows sometimes because the most asinine problems happen. My USB controller has a control that's stuck so I unplugged it and reconfigured some settings. Then the controller wasn't able to ever reconnect. So I opened device manager and disabled ALL the USB devices. That worked. It worked ...

[Solved Old drivers] "OpenCL device matching not found" issu
Well for me 440.97 does NOT work. I just started to uninstall my drivers, but noticed the driver version, and so I even took a picture of it so that you know I'm being honest. I think it was the certified driver, unless there are two different 440.97 drivers. https://i.imgur.com/bvmgJnU.png I'm goin...

Re: Old "OpenCL device matching slot 1 not found" issue
Alright, I have a folder for GPU drivers (I download them manually for Nvidia, don't want the slowness of Gefore Experience Program) and so I've got several for this year, and I'll try the drivers from August: version 430.64 . I'll finish the GPU (they like to be dumped or just erased when I restart...

Re: Old "OpenCL device matching slot 1 not found" issue
Yes I've read about Windows update drivers not being the same, how stupid is that?! So I've got 440. whatever for the "game ready drivers" and I get the following log from a freshly installed folding at home setup with zero changes other than starting the GPU because it starts out on mediu...

Old "OpenCL device matching slot 1 not found" issue
I've reinstalled drivers and restarted. Now I have to wait for the active WU to finish, reboot just to test again, and then re-install the program and wipe WU data. Why do I have this strange issue, never had it before and I've been running the program for several years now.

Re: RX 560 AMD Driver 18.1.1, topology error on every frame
No, it's listing the cards correctly. I tested by pausing the Nvidia GPU and seeing the data in afterburner reflect a low gpu load. The issue I'm having now is horrid performance on the RX 560, it shows currently a TPF of 1h 8m, and an ETA of 4.73 days. I have the card clock / memory speeds on defau...

Re: RX 560 AMD Driver 18.1.1, topology error on every frame
I think I've got a major issue. I did this, and I'm still having the same issue. Both my GPUs are showing horrible performance. It's similar to what happens when a driver crashes, but because I only output video to the AMD card (and only use it for things other than FAH), I don't think the Nvidia dr...

RX 560 AMD Driver 18.1.1, topology error on every frame
Hello, I'm having an issue with my AMD card, it keeps having a topology error, and this has only been recently happening, but it's been a while since I've installed the 18.1.1 GPU drivers. I'd say it's probably been happening for a week or two, but I didn't know about it until at least, a week ago. ...

Re: Just started getting ALL "bad work units" RX 560
MSConfig shows the date for all changes made, so I checked all the boxes (in a group) till the date different. I also just now reinstalled the AMD drivers, and rebooted, with no positive changes in WU dropping. I still receive all "bad work unit" errors for every WU. Config 9:17:00:<config...

Just started getting ALL "bad work units" RX 560
Hello, I've restarted my computer and when I restarted my PC, FAH is giving the card all "bad work units", which I know their not bad, something happened, changed in a way that makes the card not work with FAH GPU work units. I'm not sure what, but I've reset the card to default settings w...

Re: Let's talk Opteron 6100 (K-10) vs Interlagos! 6300
Wow, this has been very helpful. Thank you both Bruce and Nathan P. I'll have a look around on other forums too, but so far I think the "new" FPU performance in the 6300 would be more beneficial for FAH. I appreciate the heads up on the Intel Xeon performance, but I don't feel like a can m...

Let's talk Opteron 6100 (K-10) vs Interlagos! 6300
Hello, I'm wondering if using a "true" (not six modules) 12 core Opteron 6100 series would outperform an Interlagos (6300) series with eight full "modules" split into 2 cores for each module. I believe that with the Bulldozer arch, if I were to only use half of the module (1 core...

Re: PCI-e bandwidth/capacity limitations
FAHClient is designed to run as a service. The script is SUPPOSED to install itself so that FAHClient start at boot time (just like other services)and run forever. FAHClient doesn't actually process anthing except commands from either FAHControl or WebControl, and if you want it to be idle, you man...

Re: OpenSUSE 42.3 "bzip2-libs" I can't find it!
Last and final update, as I have no further information to help with this so far: (WITHOUT any updates) OpenSUSE 42.1 stock, will run FAHClient (non beta 7.4.4) with the new 7.4.16, because I wanted to test it, without issue, and WITHOUT bzip2-libs.
