Announcement: Introducing FAHControl for Android
Hello all! I'm pleased to announce FAHControl for Android, a simple (and free) app to control your F@H clients from an Android device. I searched Google Play for such a utility but couldn't find any, so I wrote this app. You can download it here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... fahcontro...

Re: My PPDs seem a bit low. Is my configuration sub-optimal?
Thanks, I just added a passkey, that seems to be the problem! Now my PPDs on Linux are at 15k and rising as the client recalculates... this was definitely the issue. Doh! Such a n00b. :) The reason I split the Linux machine into 2 slots is because I'm a developer and require a rather high amount of ...

Re: My PPDs seem a bit low. Is my configuration sub-optimal?
Here's the logs for my Linux workstation, they're pretty big because the machine has been up for awhile and I was messing around with the GPU configuration:

The end part is probably most useful.

My PPDs seem a bit low. Is my configuration sub-optimal?
Looking around at some of the other threads in the new donors forum, I get a bit jealous looking at the high PPD's reported by other members with hardware similar to mine. :) My PPD's seem a bit low in comparison, have I done something wrong? I'm folding primarily on 2 machines, both are working bas...

Re: GPU folding on Ubuntu: X11 unusable while folding
Oh, also, I should mention that idle triggering is a bit broken on linux. I guess that's a known issue based on my googling and reading around.

Re: GPU folding on Ubuntu: X11 unusable while folding
On my Linux machine I have a Geforce GT 630. My Windows machine has a GTX 760, which is admittedly a bit more powerful. However, monitoring GPU load on Windows also shows it capped at 100% when GPU folding, which is to be expected. As mentioned in my other thread, the GPU units never actually comple...

Re: Problems with GPU folding, is my card not fast enough?
I have an 8-core i7, it is split into 2 slots, one with 2 cores and the other with 6 cores. I pause the 2 core slot when attempting GPU folding. The GPU has been crunching away on a 8000 credit WU for 3 straight days, estimated time 4.44 days left, timeout is in 2 days (29 Aug). My Windows machine a...

GPU folding on Ubuntu: X11 unusable while folding
Somewhat related to my other thread about GPU folding on linux, I've noticed that the X11 UI is essentially unusable when GPU folding is active, forcing me to only attempt GPU folding on nights/weekends. The entire GUI grinds to a halt, and keystrokes take several seconds to be processed. On my othe...

Problems with GPU folding, is my card not fast enough?
I've got an ubuntu linux workstation which is already CPU folding along quite happily, and I'd like to add a GPU folding slot to the mix. It has a GeForce GT 630 card, which isn't the fasted GPU around but is more than powerful enough to drive dual 30" monitors. However, I have yet to complete ...

You'll also need to apt-get the package nvidia-opencl-icd-331. It's not installed by default with the nvidia-331 package.
