Hey all I'm currently running a little rig i got for free 24/7. It's an Athlon x2 4600+ @ 2.4Ghz (refuses to overclock which sucks..) My GTX 650 was only 60W but still got loud. Most graphics cards do get pretty loud. I'm very sensitive to noise so unless it's silent I can't run it too much. All my machines run 100% silent.

I never thought of it like that. x4 cores working on a WU each would possibly lead to the same length of time it will take all 4 cores working together to complete a single WU... Hello all I've been running a Q6600 based machine for CPU folding. I like to get as many work units as I can for the certificate so I tend to run 1 WU per core. That's good to hear as my little 650 is Kepler based. The speed of the CPU has almost nothing to do with its ability to drive a GPU. Both the speed and number of cores matter if you're going to be using the CPU to fold, too. Really? I did wonder as my i3 540 on my main PC with a GTX 650 tends to use...
