Re: System requirements for this PPD?
Instead of putting chunks of information in some FAQ and blaming it on the user if something goes wrong you also could have gone all the way with the client and have checks built in to make it really unreasonable for more than one machine of one user to have the same CPUID. Check MAC of eth0 or what...

Re: Langouste -- WU upload/download de-coupler [Linux only]
Hello tear, thank you for your comprehensive reply. So it's very closely tied to GNU... well, it doesn't matter anymore, at least to me. I tried a Windoze bigadv run and got higher frame time than on VM Linux, it seems it's not for me. And if it wasn't for the GPUs I wouldn't even be running Windoze...

Re: Langouste -- WU upload/download de-coupler [Linux only]
I have a pretty general question here: since linux is bigadv starved atm I've switched my main rig from VM to windoze a3 bigadv. Would it be possible that this Windoze client could use langouste running on my (linux-)server? Or is it "just" able to listen to localhost connections?

Re: gpu3 work server
Well, then it's only a matter of time because the problems 10 days ago started exactly the same. Sporadic WUs, then complete breakdown. [17:22:13] + Attempting to get work packet [17:22:13] Passkey found [17:22:13] Gpu type=3 species=30. [17:22:13] - Connecting to assignment server [17:22:18] + No a...

Re: gpu3 work server
Yup, here we go again. 10 days ago 171.67.108.20 had problems and now again it seems.

Re: 171.67.108.20
It looks like they're working on the server, it doesn't hold a single WU right now....
Edit: Got one Wu now.

Re: Can't get WU's: Attempt #7 to get work failed
Fun thing is that number of WUs on this server seems to go down even though it's not dishing out anything.
That was over 90k a few minutes ago.

Re: Can't get WU's: Attempt #7 to get work failed
Not common me thinks, my card has been blasting away for two days now. Maybe they're preparing new projects?

Re: Can't get WU's: Attempt #7 to get work failed
Soo, my 480 isn't getting any work for maybe half an hour or more now. Are we already out of work? Re: Langouste -- WU upload/download de-coupler [Linux only]
Hello, I'll have to say thanks again for your effort with langouste, I also installed it on my new i7 860 and now it works gracefully there too. I have to add a small bug report though (might also be a problem in the older release). Because of the ext4 problems I partitioned sda with an ext2 partiti...

Re: Langouste -- WU upload/download de-coupler [Linux only]
Found the time to try it, now there's only 5 minutes time between finishing of one bigadv and start of another, instead of 30-40 minutes (or even more on ext4). Thanks alot for this, tear! Btw, I'm also running the client on tmpfs because of these ext4 troubles, do you have (or know where to get) a ...

Re: Configurable affinity changer for Windows
Thank you for helping the Vista64 crowd out with this fix. Now on for a little tuning, if there's any left.. ^_^;
Can I set a process to Realtime or is this not implemented? (I wanted to see if this changes anything with 2xGPUv2 + 2xVM)

Re: Configurable affinity changer for Windows
Wow, you're fast to reply! Thank you! :) Just downloaded that new 64bit executable, the problem that you described was exactly what I was thinking, which is why I tried the not-working 64bit one first, hehe. Well, I'll try this now and report back! Edit: You're right on spot with that correction: Au...

Re: Configurable affinity changer for Windows
Very potent tool you have here, but I'm having a little trouble with it. I'm running Vista64 Ultimate, UAC enabled. The problems occur with starting it as Admin and without admin rights. First of all the 64 version just dies right on the spot, without anything happening, just the Windows error windo...
