Ok, I'm back. I am the guy who started this thread originally and I have followed all the advice that was given to me. The last thing I did was update my video driver. Unfortunately after I did that update all that I was downloading was Core 15 WUs. I finally caught a Core 17 WU and it is still cras...

Just a quick update: My GPU picked up another Core 15 WU, so I still don't know if the Core 17 problem I was having has been fixed by the driver update. Oh well, 9 more hours and I'll toss the dice again.

You were right, Oh Tim, that I was checking through Windows and when I went to the NVIDIA site there were new drivers. I installed them, restarted the computer and recreated the gpu slot (I had had to drop it so I could get some regular work done). In any case, now it is running a gpu work unit, but...

Hmmm... That's a good question. I'm using driver NVIDIA 9.18.13.1144, dated 3/14/2013 - which the update function says is the correct one.

It would make sense that it happened when the new core downloaded. In any case, I deleted the fahcore_17 exe as you suggested and let it download a new copy and I am getting the same result. How/what do I need to do to report this to the developers?

No upgrades, NVIDIA Quadro K2000M. Nothing has changed on the computer.

I am running the standard windows 7 firewall and the client is allowed to connect to any address and any port. The only other thing is Avast antivirus, which doesn't appear to effect connectivity.
