Re: WU crashing infinitely
I'm getting this issue as well though I figured it would be kind of a waste to only allocate 12 threads to a 128 thread dual EPYC system. I can't image what it's like for people with EPYC Rome servers with twice as many cores. For jobs that cannot handle many threads, is it possible to run multiples...

Re: CentOS 8 - anyone have F@H running?
You could also go the container route and just use Docker/Podman to get Folding up and running in a manner of seconds. I found this on Reddit and it seems to work out of the box. It doesn't seem to take a passkey and at the moment I cannot test if it works as I don't have a GPU on my linux machine ...

Re: CentOS 8 - anyone have F@H running?
As you noted Ivan i had the same issue when run with --nodeps, doesnt do anything. Is this due to the rpm's just being out of date for linux i presume? dont really want to run CentOS 6.7 just to run F@H.... Yes, the --nodeps workaround is a common thing with old RPMs with Python dependencies being ...

Re: CentOS 8 - anyone have F@H running?
I'm trying to get it working but ran into other dependency issues. Check the following thread though it looks like the libssl1.0.0 package that this file comes from was deprecated a long time ago. https://askubuntu.com/questions/339364/ ... -directory The FAH website recommends running rpm -i --node...

Re: 7870 GPU usage and other oddities
So an update on the situation. I've changed my OS to Windows 8 pro after experiencing other bugs in Windows Server 2012 due to it's barebones nature. Right after installing Windows 8 I installed Catalyst 13.2 beta 4 modified drivers with 12.8 OpenCL drivers. I then proceeded to install all the other...

Re: Folding@Home Benchmark Beta (0.4 Latest)
Your screenshot shows you only did -deviceId 0, so that is only one card. From the numbers, that was probably your GT 640. What's odd is that usually my 7870 is deviceID 0. In Folding@Home Control It always shows up in slot 0, where the GT 640 shows up in slot 1. Same with GPU-Z where the 7870 is a...

Re: Folding@Home Benchmark Beta (0.4 Latest)
Here's what I'm getting for my system with a Core i5 3570K, HD 7870 GHz edition, and GT 640 at their stock clocks. http://imgur.com/52wTaTZ Explicit: 3.97548ns/day Implicit: 20.7468ns/day I'm guessing these scores are a tad low given the hardware used. I'm not really sure how the tests work so I'm n...

Re: Catalyst 13.1 drivers are out
Ever since I've started folding on my 7870 my PPD has been extremely low (around 900) and GPU-Z would report zero GPU activity during folding. I also have a GT 640 which gets about 5000 PPD and is always running at 93% usage according to GPU-Z. This was on modified 12.11 drivers. Since then I decide...

Re: Catalyst 13.1 drivers are out
He means 20k PPD overall. I get about the same PPD as you do with my 7870 (~7k).dreiter wrote:Holy crap, 20K PPD on a 7950? I have a 7850 and I get 7K PPD per day. I do have the last driver in the '12' series. Maybe that's it?

Re: 7870 GPU usage and other oddities
I've already looked into these issues and have followed the guides for getting it working on modified 12.11 drivers. I actually installed the modified drivers right after doing a clean re-install of Windows Server 2012 Datacenter. There shouldn't be any remnants or fragments of the bad drivers aroun...

7870 GPU usage and other oddities
Basically I've gone through OCN to get my Sapphire HD 7870 folding and have made some progress, however GPU usage is typically next to 0%. I am using Catalyst 12.11 beta modified by DarkRyder to work best for Folding. http://i.imgur.com/OFJwU.png I also have an EVGA GT 640 (for hybrid PhysX) which i...
