Re: Nvidia Pascal GPU cards???

However the load is at only 89%. I don't know what I have to do to get it to 100%.... You probably can't. Data must be transferred between main RAM and the GPU before the shaders can work on it. A certain amount of time is spent transferring data, some of which may be overlapped with processing and...

I'm testing right now on a EVGA GTX1080 FE with EK-Waterblock installed.

However the load is at only 89%. I don't know what I have to do to get it to 100%....

Re: Beta-GPU-WUs vs. BIG-SMP-WUs

My folding farm has been now running without any complications for about two weeks: http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/ ... =&u=526918 Judge for yourself if I made the right purchase. It did cost me well over €3000 and consumes 700W. After reading that the computing power of those CPUs isn't...

Re: Beta-GPU-WUs vs. BIG-SMP-WUs

Hmm. With the current P8102 WUs I'm getting, my folding farm actually manages 700k PPD. I'll start saving and then add another computer on GPU bases. Hopefully this will create the balance needed to maximize the folding effort from my part.

Re: Beta-GPU-WUs vs. BIG-SMP-WUs

You guys have taken this a bit off topic. But maybe it's just me who doesn't follow. But just to be clear. I got a Supermicro H8QGi+-F motherboard with 4x Opteron 6180 SE CPUs which are overclocked to 2.75 GHz. So I get about 430k PPD with P8101 WUs. (According to what I've read, 600k PPD should be ...

Re: Beta-GPU-WUs vs. BIG-SMP-WUs

I'm not particularly worried about the PPD I make now, but the folding farm was purchased just a month ago. I wouldn't mind getting a couple of P8102 or P6903 WUs though.... So I just would like to know, whether a GPU based folding farm would have been a better investment. A friend of mine said that...

Re: Beta-GPU-WUs vs. BIG-SMP-WUs

I may misunderstand the whole thing but I thought that the more PPD I get the more I contribute to the project. Currently my folding farm contributes about 400k PPD average (depending on WU). I was purposely buying a computer for folding. So tell me if I made a mistake in making it a quad-socket Opt...

Beta-GPU-WUs vs. BIG-SMP-WUs

Hey guys, I know that there is the old discussion going on, on how to make the points for the WUs fair and balanced across the board, and I was wondering if this has been considered: BIG-SMP-WUs can only be folded if the computer has 16 cores/threads. So the hardware necessary to get those WU is rat...
