Re: How to set up Folding@home on FreeNAS/TrueNAS - a guide
As someone with little Linux knowledge this guide by Jesse_V is welcome. However I was lost on step 9 not knowing how to navigate to the config file, or saving the modification. I also could not find FAH within the TrueNAS Scale app catalog as Trevor68 posted. Trevor68 is also correct in wanting cpu...

Stats drop on Dual GPU decicated machine after 7-15 days
I know I read about a similar problem in the last year, but could not find it, so redirect me if necessary. I will review posting of logs. I have been folding for a while. This machine has been run without problems at 100% dual GPU folding for 5-6 years with only simple fixes and updates, but I can'...

Re: Linux install guide
I am a long-time folder with Windows, but I am a nube to Linux. I have been attempting to use Linux and fold with gpus without success. After trying Ubuntu 19 and Mint 20 I am understanding Python 3 has replaced 2 when installing FAHcontrol. But trying Ubuntu 18.04.3 I still get the python dependenc...

Re: FahCore_17.exe - Bad Image with Amd 7790
Sorry, PantherX, I did not know only some GK chips we affected, but my 670, 660s, and 650s were slowed like many folks reported. I certainly will take a chance with a beta driver on a dedicated folding machine, but the reddit link did not work as AMD did not like outside direct links to drivers. I c...

Re: FahCore_17.exe - Bad Image with Amd 7790
I wanted to finish off my thoughts on this problem. I have not used AMD video cards for folding until I pulled out this 7790 I have had since very early on when AMD began selling the card. I have used some type of Nvidia card starting with the 9800 thru the 670 currently which have preformed flawles...

Re: FahCore_17.exe - Bad Image with Amd 7790
That is certainly a possibility, but I'm not sure where to look for them since I didn't install them. Maybe I can disable the onboard video in bios. I will look.

Re: FahCore_17.exe - Bad Image with Amd 7790
I will give it a try sometime, Win 8.1 is still intact, but I had a copy of Vista 64bit and a extra hd. After getting Vista to a workable level, I have been able to fold. It is only at 17% currently but without any problem or adjustments. Mine is not an HP machine but all individual parts. Mb is Gig...

Re: FahCore_17.exe - Bad Image with Amd 7790
P5-133XL, I tried all combinations of (0,1) gpu - always on 0 the device was the R9600 Pro primary and the work server did not have an available work unit - naturally it is unsupported. I fixed gpu to 1 and then ran the open-cl index from -1 to 3, always getting the same core17 failure. I also delet...

Re: FahCore_17.exe - Bad Image with Amd 7790
Well, I deleted all display drivers and FAH. Rebooted. Ran Driver Fusion in the safe mode deleting display drivers. Rebooted. Ran Glary Utilities to delete any files with AMD/Nvidia (including sound drivers)/Physx/OpenCL/Fah. Rebooted. Installed 13.12 drivers. Rebooted. Installed FAH and when the GP...

Re: FahCore_17.exe - Bad Image with Amd 7790
Do you have a suggestion on driver cleaner, as I have never used one. There is so much malware out there. All drivers have been from directly from AMD and Nvidia. I see Nvidia has 332 WHQL drivers out. I have been cautious of the "latest" drivers since the "Game Ready" 331 driver...

Re: FahCore_17.exe - Bad Image with Amd 7790
The OpenGL part of the error was very confusing to me also, but that is the error given. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "REMOVE all it's contents". I did delete the app thru Windows checking remove data. I also removed the gpu from the slot configuration, ran cpu only for a whi...

FahCore_17.exe - Bad Image with Amd 7790
I have been folding for many years, and have usually been able to work out folding errors, but not this time. I have run Nvidia cards up to this point, but wanted to try out Core 17 with an AMD card. To check out the performance of an AMD 7790 I installed Fah 7.3.6 on a Win 7 32bit 4Gb E8400 machine...
