Setting up f@h on a Xeon Server running Ubuntu
I was curious if this could be done and if anyone has done it. What would be involved and how would I go about the whole set up in regards to the installation of the client under a CLI set up and the configuration of the Client. Can anyone help with regards to the set up even if its just an overview...

I need an update.
I've been reading threw some or all of the posts available for folding on an android device. As far as I'm aware you can fold on 4.4 upwards and its supported on tablets. You can also fold under you google account but its not included as such as you would have on a desktop system; you would need to ...

fah on a GPU.
What would be the best but cheapest set up to fah on with a GPU. As we know GPU Folding is best other than CPU. So what would be the best set up to buy for just a GPU Power House as in cutting back on everything. Going for the cheapest parts like absolute budget but putting a GPU in what would destr...

FAH on a Server.
What would be the best type of Server to Fold on. Since I don't have the funds to buy an i7 I'm curious about fah on rack and blade servers within a multiple (as yet undecided) U environment. I'm seriously thinking of buying a server for folding and if possible run the simulations over the multiple ...

Re: Installing GPU Drivers in Linux.
Ubuntu comes with nonproprietary drivers installed, but the guys at xedgers package the NVIDA proprietary or open source drivers for ubuntu's built-in installer. (I'm thankful for them, as I've clobbered my GUI more than once trying to use the .run file.) I'm running 340.76. I recently got notifica...

Re: Installing GPU Drivers in Linux.
I've Paused the CPU Slot under Mint 86_64, I've went threw and selected the GPU as -1 0 and 1 and set the value as true. Now the Card is being detected by the fah control GUI as started in the system information. However its not detecting the CUDA Cores and the Slot is failing after downloading seve...

Re: Installing GPU Drivers in Linux.
The other possibility is that this is a simple issue of permissions. The installation normally creates a new user called fahclient. This user owns the files created by the FAHClient executable, including GPUs.txt and the /var/lib/fahclient directory. That's why bollix47 told you to use sudo cp rath...

Re: Installing GPU Drivers in Linux.
To be honest I think its a Driver problem as BOINC isn't recognizing the GPU either. I have under Driver Manager in the Linux Mint Control panel selected the latest drivers that are available from the list but the device at the top of the pop up box isn't being listed. Its recognizing OpenCL but not...

Re: Installing GPU Drivers in Linux.
I've uninstalled the Client and reinstalled it several times. I have no option to cut and past the GPU.txt file as I received a message that I don't have the admin rites & I'm not the owner to modify the file \ folder. I have been using GPU Drivers found under Driver Manager in the Control Panel...

Re: Installing GPU Drivers in Linux.
The GTX 750 is a supported GPU, but there's a file on your system called GPUs.txt which needs to be updated. The FAHClient normally updates that file automatically but in a number of cases, it fails to do so if FAHClient gets started before your internet connection has been activated. I believe it ...

Re: Installing GPU Drivers in Linux.
I've managed to get the GPU CUDA Cores detected in the FaH Control Panel. I'm wondering why my GPU is showing as unsupported. I've been reading about the GPU list available and I'm thinking it hasn't been downloaded. I've started and stopped the application several times under Mint. I've re installe...

Installing GPU Drivers in Linux.
Is their any relatively easy way of installing a Nvidia 750 GTX Driver in Linux 17.1 Mate release Rebeca. I've been looking around online and it seems complex. I've just had my 750 GTX Delivered today and want to use it for F@H. I'm completely perplexed by the complexity of Installing a GPU driver. ...

Folding @ Home on Android.[Tablet]
Would it be possible to F@H on Nvidias Shield Tablet. If so what could you expect from this, being a tablet for gamers with a dedicated GPU and a Android OS. What about PPD, TPF per WU and Power Consumption, and finally keeping it charged.
